- Welcome to "Power to the Panel," a podcast dedicated to redefining success in the arts. Our goal is to inspire artists to break away from mainstream perceptions of success, expand their readership, and build a thriving community. In the prelude episode, we focused on Ed Piskor, a young cartoonist who tragically passed away in April.
In this episode, we discuss carving out your own hero's journey, the birth of you as an artist, defining your mythos, and the importance of your past in leading you toward your future.

I’m onboard ! Thanks for the inspiration
With your tone and demeanor I feel like you are the Bob Ross of the Kayfabe universe.
And I here for it!
Lots of gratitude and love to you, Bryan for shining a light on me 🙏
The meat & potatoes of this episode is a great follow up to the first one. I’m curious what you’ll have for us in the next installment.
Props to Vero, Jeremy, and Marco on the production 🖤💛🖤
Bryan, you do your friend Ed Piskor proud. You do his family proud.
The legacy of Ed continues. Every episode of this new show is a weekly tribute to Ed Piskor, Jim Rugg and their HUGE impact in our comics' world.
Thank You, sir 🙏
Love you Bryan! Thanks for this video! 🖤💛🖤
I clapped like a fool! 😂 busy mamas day weekend, just now getting to this!
these episodes are amazing. Please keep them coming. This is Cartoonist Kayfabe meets Mr Rogers
"We live in a day and age where narcissism is breakfast." The clarity of that statement rings SOOO TRUE I wish it weren't true. Still made me laugh though.
Good listen Bry, you talk about some things we definitely forget to share to the folks behind us in line that could use it.
Gracias por esto, acá escuchando desde Sudamérica!
Russell Simmons and George Lucas sent me here. Some real actionable advice in here. Appreciate you sharing it
lol 😂
I've listened thru several times to try and take in your points. I think they are:
1) Present only the parts of your story that serve your art. No one has time for your problems. Be positive.
2) Your name should flow, be lyrical and memorable. Personal presentation matters so consider your clothes & style.
3) Understand who you were in your past. Memories and nostalgia are a source of power; use them to enrich your storytelling.
4) Become shameless.
5) Love your art.
The totality of these things equals a narrative only you can tell.
Your myth elevates the impact of your work beyond your art and craft.
If you clearly communicate your story to others, they will advocate for you.
Your myth makes you easier to connect with.
Loving yourself is a key component to attracting fans.
Advocating for others shows your character.
Yes that’s 100% it - I posted this on my Instagram. Let me know those outcomes
🖤💛🖤🙇🏾♂️
What a great follow up to part 1!
Two episodes in a row that left me feeling a sense of vindication, that I’ve been doing things right the past couple years or so.
Everything about this podcast is on point and what I need, what we need, fuck, what everyone needs to hear if you’re a maker.
Thank you guys so much. To everyone involved with the pod, you’re amazing and I’m thankful you’re taking time to do these.
Fucking love you guys 🖤💛🖤
