    I’m an Australian and I lived and worked in London 1998-2002. Brett was a customer of mine.
    I was a florist working in Planet Organic on Westbourne Grove. He always bought flowers off me. He’s so charismatic and gorgeous.

Would have been exciting to have been around for the release. To be fair, a DMS concert has a very different vibe to the average Suede gig

    • @hippiehappy5
      @hippiehappy5 Před rokem

      I completely understand what you mean, but I also agree with Brett about the tone of the album. Whilst DMS has some tracks that will forever be the highlight of a Suede gig, there are a good few that have an 'album filler' feel to them- and I say this with nothing but love for that album. But they don't translate to live music as well as non- single tracks from Coming Up (are there even any, that album produced what feels like 17 singles 😂😂). Nevertheless, like I said, whenever I see Suede live the songs I look most forward to are stuff like The Wild Ones, We Are The Pigs and New Generation, whenever they treat the audience to it. But I agree that the DMS album as a whole has a 'smoking weed in a council flat in a high rise block in the early 90's' vibe, rather than the euphoric 'let's dance our t**s off to some tuuuunes' vibe you want at a live show. My opinion, don't shoot me!

      Suede have been blessed with two absolutely formidable lead guitarists. Bands don't usually get as lucky. Both Bernard and Richard are first class.

    Introducing Coming Up, to then showing... Animal Nitrate... Then, the questions... I am starting to feel fed up at how accomodating musicians, actors and directors always are, during interviews, welcoming the dumbest questions with a perennial smile, instead of reacting sincerely, and demanding basic knowledge and sensible questions from their interviewers.
