    Hope you fit a non return valve to the pump outlet to save waste from your soil pipe retuning to the waterbut

    Bet the net curtains were twitching, with some puzzled people watching and wondering 😀

    Nice I use the same water butt for my ro water and I drain in to a big 330l tub and pump it out with a big jaboe pump but I think I may look at the sump pump as I always forgot to turn it off lol

    I think you need a larger diameter barrel and some way to stabilize the pump.

    Hi - we've just had a Titan 400w dirty water pump installed after some garden works we had done. However the automatic switch isn't coming on as, from what I can see, when the water level rises then switch doesn't tilt enough for the sensor ball inside the switch to move to the on point. Any advice on how we can better this?

    I was half expecting to see the water shoot up every time you were looking into the water butt.

    I was actually wondering if there's enough space for the float switch.

      There is as long as I orient it correctly, it was only getting stuck because of the hose and trying to line up the outlet

    Nice one Graeme!
    Is there a chance you may get unwanted back flow when pump not running?

    • @AquariumAdventures
      @AquariumAdventures  Před 2 lety

      I hope not - I am planning to enter the soil pipe from above, and use a non return valve - but also just started thinking about just putting it straight out onto the garden instead

      @@AquariumAdventures You could pump it out to another larger butt outside and use that to water the garden?

    mate, are you real????????? this is for a pond not a bloody water butt container. also you need to attach a hose for the water to come out.. your not really selling this video well are you :(

    • @AquariumAdventures
      @AquariumAdventures  Před rokem

      I can confirm I am for real. Don't know what makes you think this is for a pond - it is literally called a sump pump. In this case the water butt is my sump and does have a hose attached, just like the hose attached in the video.
      Not really selling your comment well are you :(
