I made an FPV Drone cinematic GIMBAL!

- I've always wanted to make my footage look different than the usual FPV, and I hope I did!
This is my own design of a 1 axis gimbal for FPV Drones and GoPros in general. Whit FPV weight is a major concern, and this gimbal is only 80 grams!

I don't know why but I like the standard mount on the drone. I like the tilt and the realistic flying experience

I did kind of the same ( incl. Modified TPU mount/casing) and used a LOFTer gimbal...nice and compact , easy to mod .
Now i start working on sourcing parts for a FPV gimbal DIY system ( 1axis only)
Hey man, it's an honor having you here! yes these phone gimbals are amazing, maybe you could test this kind of gimbal with a smaller brushless motor. keep in mind that the motor nut has a magnetic piece on top that gives the board a reference for its position with an hall effect sensor
@@haythamfpv2797 I already used a 1804 on that boards, the magnet can be mounted on a the stator screw...not ideal but the concept looks very promising !

pro tip: print the gimbal body in in flex material. The feet tend to break off.
Nice build! The results are pretty impressive :D I wonder how the gimbal behaves when doing basic rolls and flips?
Thank you, it stabilizes them like you did nothing, but only as long as it can rotate as vertical as possible, if the mount is at like 20 degrees and you roll while going at 40 degrees the 20 degrees delta will jerk a little, but it still is almost perfect. I did a test attaching the gimball on top of my helmet and I rolled it in the air, the result looked like magic hahahah

A one axis gimbal is a great plus for FPV footage. Would you consider developing a lightweight version for sub 250 gram builds? It can take the power from the drone lipo. How much does yours weight without the battery? Btw, where u from?

unfortunately I had to use this until a couple of weeks ago hahaha, but hey, there's no better training than a bad tip to get better at solering, once you master that, everything else is a joke hahahah

The main comparison we wanted was hypersmooth normal mount vs gimbal no hypersmooth but you almost alwats left hypersmooth on kinda defeats the purpose to use both at the same time but its a good idea for cameras without hypersmooth.
I was about to film gimbal with no Hypersmooth but I had a problem with some wet grass.. Hypersmooth does not defeat the purpose at all, it crops 10% at most and does not do horizon level. There's the hero 6 with no reelsteady and with Gimbal, it should get you covered😉

The insta 360go and go2 have a good enough stabilization that they don’t need this gimbal
