Two days ago we went to er with my 10 year old. 103.5 temp and couldn’t get it to come down... puking, sore, and breathing issues (has asthma).Doc just did a influenza test and started there and if negative they’d do a different test but didn’t say what. It’s was type a influenza and was shown out promptly. The only thing that bugged my wife and I was the room had blood splattered everywhere. Wouldn’t have like to be the poor person in that room before him

Hi Doctor John, I am an English man retired 72 years old and live in Jakarta Indonesia. I have lived and worked here for 17 years and have travelled around a lot so seen much of what Indonesia has infrastructure wise. I have been following the illness for some weeks and have got a little prepared in respect to sanitisation of my house and my wife's business as well as doing the basics of hand washing and refrain from shaking hands and kiss greetings. Many Chinese Indonesians usually go to China for their new year. I have been waiting for the illness to hit here and to-date it doesn't appear to have happened. Indonesia's major population generally mass in markets to buy food but do not generally have air-conditioning so are in temperatures of low to high 30's. this is different from Singapore and Malaysia who have more air-conditioning in normal daily living. The grape vine here would have shown if mass cases have occurred but that doesn't appear to be the case, local hospitals appear not to have cases not are they being over run. I am hoping that maybe that the higher temperatures here is an inhibit the virus spread particularly when you look at the cases that have occurred world wide. hope its not a pipe dream. Keith

The CDC in America announced yesterday that they're testing all flu patients who test negative for flu for Coronavirus in major cities (LA, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and Seattle)
Normally these videos are very good. But the idea being spread is NOT that this is a Bioweapon. The idea is that this is a strain of coronavirus that was being used in the creation of vaccines and that researchers were exposed to the virus accidentally. This is not a 'conspiracy theory' but a postulation made by the people who would know, that is those people working in biolabs in China. Get at least a months supply of food etc. in the house. Get latex gloves and masks plus all around safety glasses. Stock up on hydrogen peroxide, in combination with potatoes you can set up a McGyver type oxygen generator to treat pneumonia. Same goes for vitamin C (mega doses)
I've stocked up on a lot of grain products--rice and flour and cornmeal and oats--because corn is the only thing I can grow myself (but grinding it is another matter entirely). Grains and potatoes are necessary for calories; there's a reason why every culture in the world relies on one version or another of those starches. I've also got a lot of canned vegetables and meat. The meat is something I can't get readily for myself, but the canned vegetables are just meant to last me until I get a garden going. Needless to say, I've been stocking up on seeds as well. I'm going to try to get chickens next month, too, so I'll at least have eggs as a source of protein. And of course I got beans and lentils to use as a source of protein to make my meat supplies last longer. I also went to the Indian grocery and stocked up on spices, which are not native to my area (many of which retard bacterial growth, making your leftovers last longer, even without refrigeration). Most herbs, though, are easy to grow here. In other words, figure out what you can produce for yourself, get the supplies you need to produce it, then stock up on all the things that you can't produce for yourself, paying attention to starches and proteins.

I have seen multiple CXR and CT scans, of persons with severe Covid-19. The majority seem to have predominantly Left Lung infiltration. Why? Why more left lung involvement than right, or bilateral?

Here's the elephant in the room most people are not talking about is the economical impact of the coronavirus on the world as a whole. From what I've read of the 1918 pandemic re-infection occurs when there is "antigen drift" mutating the original form of the virus, causing a new infection.

I had West Nile virus when I was 52 years old. It is a Flavivirus, of which dengue is also. I had severe symptoms, the worst being high fever, painful headache, and stiff neck. Two days ago we went to er with my 10 year old. 103.5 temp and couldn’t get it to come down... puking, sore, and breathing issues (has asthma).Doc just did a influenza test and started there and if negative they’d do a different test but didn’t say what. It’s was type a influenza and was shown out promptly. The only thing that bugged my wife and I was the room had blood splattered everywhere. Wouldn’t have like to be the poor person in that room before him

Hello Doctor, from Cambodia.. the infected Westerdam passenger was discovered in Malaysia. Her husband also had some symptoms but has twice tested negative. It seems that about half the disembarked passengers passed thru Phnom Penh on a press tour, and some have traveled on as of today. Yes, they are saying that some have been asymptomatic 24 days instead of 14. Scientists are saying this is because those patients were re-infected. How can you be re-infected, if you have recovered and are now immune? It's confusing...

This might be the case for the one person who put it in the world in the first case (maybe they're also just being wrong) but the majority of spreaders will be just people convinced by the explanation they heard. Hi Doctor John, I am an English man retired 72 years old and live in Jakarta Indonesia. I have lived and worked here for 17 years and have travelled around a lot so seen much of what Indonesia has infrastructure wise.
I have been following the illness for some weeks and have got a little prepared in respect to sanitisation of my house and my wife's business as well as doing the basics of hand washing and refrain from shaking hands and kiss greetings.
Many Chinese Indonesians usually go to China for their new year.
I have been waiting for the illness to hit here and to-date it doesn't appear to have happened.
Indonesia's major population generally mass in markets to buy food but do not generally have air-conditioning so are in temperatures of low to high 30's. this is different from Singapore and Malaysia who have more air-conditioning in normal daily living.
The grape vine here would have shown if mass cases have occurred but that doesn't appear to be the case, local hospitals appear not to have cases not are they being over run.
I am hoping that maybe that the higher temperatures here is an inhibit the virus spread particularly when you look at the cases that have occurred world wide.

Normally these videos are very good. But the idea being spread is NOT that this is a Bioweapon. The idea is that this is a strain of coronavirus that was being used in the creation of vaccines and that researchers were exposed to the virus accidentally. This is not a 'conspiracy theory' but a postulation made by the people who would know, that is those people working in biolabs in China. At what point are we to take this claim seriously if not when the Chinese scientists published in a Chinese media organization claim that the idea is at least possible.

Get at least a months supply of food etc. in the house. Get latex gloves and masks plus all around safety glasses. Stock up on hydrogen peroxide, in combination with potatoes you can set up a McGyver type oxygen generator to treat pneumonia. Same goes for vitamin C (mega doses)
I've stocked up on a lot of grain products--rice and flour and cornmeal and oats--because corn is the only thing I can grow myself (but grinding it is another matter entirely). Grains and potatoes are necessary for calories; there's a reason why every culture in the world relies on one version or another of those starches.
I've also got a lot of canned vegetables and meat. The meat is something I can't get readily for myself, but the canned vegetables are just meant to last me until I get a garden going. Needless to say, I've been stocking up on seeds as well. I'm going to try to get chickens next month, too, so I'll at least have eggs as a source of protein.
And of course I got beans and lentils to use as a source of protein to make my meat supplies last longer.
I also went to the Indian grocery and stocked up on spices, which are not native to my area (many of which retard bacterial growth, making your leftovers last longer, even without refrigeration). Most herbs, though, are easy to grow here.
In other words, figure out what you can produce for yourself, get the supplies you need to produce it, then stock up on all the things that you can't produce for yourself, paying attention to starches and proteins.

The tomatoes attracted caterpillars and then wasp. I think I got maybe 5 cucumbers. I'm not very good, but I'm not quiting. I have seen multiple CXR and CT scans, of persons with severe Covid-19. The majority seem to have predominantly Left Lung infiltration. Why? Why more left lung involvement than right, or bilateral?

Perhaps there is more air travel involved and less expiratory pressure which allows more viral adhesion and potential surface contact?

Here's the elephant in the room most people are not talking about is the economical impact of the coronavirus on the world as a whole. Seen a few videos on CZcams talking about this and it could be bad for everyone. The governments, the media and the markets are putting on a happy face so as not to panic the herd.....I mean valued tax payers that is.
