  • A selection of Jingles from County Sound Radio in the early Nineties. The FM service.
WARNING! If you hate repetitiveness then you'll hate this. If however - you love the thought of being machine gunned over and over again with around 12 minutes of a similar jingle selection then this is for you. Like the Radio Sussex feature from my tapes uploaded to here - this is straight from tape and barely edited. There is in fact a longer version that also contains some of the adverts from the time including a David Mattia one which I read elsewhere used to drive some people to distraction back then - but I can't find that tape at the moment! Lucky you!
Voices briefly heard here are Sara Badrock. Adam Gilchrist, Barney Burnham. June Nightingale and a few others.
If you do like this sort of thing - enjoy.

I can't believe they were still announcing the MW wavelength in metres in the 1990s ... such a crossover time.

Great jingles. From the news stories (Gibraltar Inquest) I think this is from September 1988. Thanks for posting.

As you may already know, we have launched a crowd funding bid to allow us to re-launch County Sound as a localised online station, we are looking for people to be involved in this exciting project - please have a look at our proposals igg.me/at/countysound/x/19849114. The station will be operated by Independent Local Radio Limited, a not-for-profit social enterprise company.

Nice station jingles plus the station logo looks similar to the English Tourism Council logo.
