Marcus Smart - 2021-22 NBA Defensive Player of the Year

Helping anchor the Boston Celtics defensively enroute to their first NBA Finals appearance in 12 years, Marcus Smart became the first guard since Gary Payton to be named Defensive Player of the Year when he garnered the award for the 2021-22 NBA Season.
Smart averaged 3.8 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks per game.
