I bought this tank with a project in mind... A RC Tank Monster Truck. But after getting it running, I changed my mind because it was so much fun to drive. Now that I have driven it, and the sound unit died, I think I'll go ahead and mod this toy!

The tread coming off is for added realism. It's not a bug, it's a feature.

I just picked one of these up . Good shape and all seems to work. Need to figure out how to add more smoke fluid though. Also picked up a m43a same time as this one. Starting to weather them and such. I'm a crawler guy so I like these slow things. Thanks for the video

They are very cool but they go to fast for a real tank .
DO NOT PLACE ALL FOUR NUMBERS ON THE TURRENT, THE GERMANS ONLY HAD THREE, 223 ETC. 2ED TANK 2ED BATTILON. 3 INFANTRY, SOME TANKS HAD WHITE STRIPS ON THE GUN BERREL, THESE WAS KILL MARKS. U BOAT COMMANDER 157.

The Promodels from Heng Long are really good for the Money Motorsound and Gun can BE changed,try it.
The Pro Models from Heng Long a pretty good for the Money,works Like a real Tank..without metalparts it is a toy.
They are still pretty toyish. However, they do sell CNC’d aluminum chassis versions, but they are well over $1000 a piece. Kinda want one, but at that price, I think maybe a Tamiya would be more interesting.
@@Triggered-RC I have two,a tiger and a king tiger ,both tamiya kits.When you build,paint and weather them yourself as part of the assembley process,ownership is completely different.You didn't just buy it,you made a working scale model.Seriously,get a Tamiya kit,you'll love it!
For the BBs to shoot you need to reset the transmitter to the factory settings. Mine did not shoot either until the factory reset. It is on transmitter manual #28. Turn off the transmitter power first then Press and hold lock button, G Button and K button together and then turn on the transmitter. You will hear a beep if done correctly.

You put the bbs in the hatch hold the to front buttons

Yeah. Threw some in there. Never got them to shoot out however. They just rattle around.
Funny how the tread came off! The tiger1 and the king tiger used tread designs with no return roller and were prone to throwing a tread if the tank made sudden turns in reverse!

My Heng Long Jagdpanther right track also keep on coming lose I check my rc tank the back Idler wheel has a track tensioner you can adjust after I tighten the track now its back in service have no issues. Your tiger 1 tank looks nice they are scarce by my country as well the Russian T-90 tank
I wonder if the cheaper plastic tracks and wheels stay together better? Thanks for the tip, will have a look for that tensioner.
If I remember correctly from other videos you have to press both the automatic gun and the main gun at the same time to shoot bibi's. And there's a way to turn off the bibi system as a whole using the controller functions. (Jack-o-trades channel)
Yeah. I got that from the instructions, but it just made the sound and the tank reverses/rocks for a sec. The barrel doesn’t retract like it is supposed to either. I’m going to take it apart and see if I can figure out why the sound unit died and why it doesn’t fire.
@@Triggered-RC I have the Agora tank and it's also a big mess. I thought Heng Long was supposed to be a proper brand.
@@soma_rc More toy grade. I bought it because it was cheap.
Mine has a on off switch on the turret of the tank. The hatch beside the one for the bbs has the switch.
@@daveanderson8404 I’ll have a look. Thinking about cutting this and putting a truck body on it, but Henglong makes nicer ones with metal chassis… Might work better, but they cost as much as a Tamiya tank.

Thanks. Can’t remember how much I paid. I think about $300. Ones with plastic tracks etc., are quite a bit cheaper.

I remember Motion RC talking about these current models being able to move at a slower speed setting no matter how much the stick is pushed, were you able to find or change those settings on your model?
Yeah, there’s a speed setting. Can’t remember the button press combo at the moment though.
@@Triggered-RC the speed is too fast, however if move the stick slowly you will achieve a more scale speed. after all they are proportional. u boat commander.
Im going to upgrade mine where the frount port is Im going to have a Charging port put in
Henglong tank rule number 1, change everything in it asap, these are built with that in mind as they were released as Tamiya copies
They're notorious bad, but hobbyists like them because their affordability and upgrade potential
They are quite cheap. The sound unit self destructed on the first battery pack ffs. 😂 I plan to turn it into a tank monster truck. Just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

I perched the Heng long T72 up grade edition and the Panzer 3 pro edition. Both have been a blast, and never had any mechanical issues. I even bash a bit outside. IAM very happy. Lots of fun with how scale they are
Probably the most inaccurate Tamiya copy to date also... Tamiya is a hell of a lot more accurate to detail. HL has a very bad habit of being inaccurate.
They're way too light, run too fast and the suspensions suck. Not to mention lousy electronics and sound files.
HL is a Walmart grade RC company.
I only have one HL and it's a heavily customized Stug 3.
@@user-st1ko5dc2h True in a way, until you hit the ones around $1000 that have the cnc’d chassis etc. They are toy grade for the most part. They do make a Tiger tank completely out of steel however. I think it is about $3000 though.

Probably. I never use those little ISB chargers. The battery is pretty small.

Hung Long would imply that they're well endowed. Not likely. More like inadequate and suffers from severe Taigen/Torro, Tamiya envy.
