  • In this video I review the new Injora Rock Terrain 64mm Crawler tires and the solid brass beadlock wheels for the Axial SCX24! These new tires are BIG, soft, and sticky! Looking like a Hyrax on steroids, they are an aggressive and capable tire. These are made from the S5 compound, which is Injora's softest and stickiest available. The wheels are a solid brass, four piece design that weigh in at a whopping 49g a piece! These are a deep dish design with a 3.15mm negative offset to give you some extra width and that nice, deep dish look. Check out the video to see how they work together on the JLU!

    Love my set of wide 'n weighted beadlocks. Currently have them mounted on my comp deadbolt with patagonias. Killer combo if you enjoy the 'small tire' crowd. Was a lil discouraging with the loss of width but i feel it makes me a better driver😎

    I installed these same wheels with the slightly smaller Injora hyrax knock-offs, using lil nova soft and medium foams. Have you tested this wheel with a slyme ballz set up? I’m curious if I should ditch the foams and try some out, these heavy wheels create a lot of sidewall flex.

      Yes I have! I have the slymeballz in these now and they work really, really well. Especially on my TRX4M bronco which is quite heavy. The inserts eliminate a lot of the body roll but still allow for great conformity to obstacles.

    • @CapeCrawlers
      @CapeCrawlers  Před rokem

      I am currently building a comp build with the intention of keeping it light but properly distributed. I did the same with my prior builds: chase weight for the sake of adding weight. I learned recently it's more about the distribution of what weight you have, not the total weight. But I will explore that in the comp build when it ramps up.

    • @vivalarevolution1652
      @vivalarevolution1652 Před rokem +2

    I'm new to this channel. Great work and informative videos.
    There is one thing that if you could have a look into it would be great.
    I watch the videos on my phone and if I watch it with the phone vertically (if it accidentally turns the screen most of the time) the backlight is very dim.
    And when I watch it at full screen (horizontally) it turns the brightness to max.
    I remember another youtuber having these problems and he said he fixed it changing the settings of the video.
    Can you have a look at that? It's annoying because even when I'm in a room with low ilumination it basically blinds me.

    Hey hows it going. I do this mod were I take lead weights cut them, shape them and stick em to the outside of the inner beadlock piece, one wheel comes in at 69grams with the wranglers. be more if it was those big tires, probably around 75grams a wheel. With that mod it puts 100grams nearly on the ground helping you hold down those crazy angles without rolling. I think its the lowest CG mod Ive seen yet. Best part is you cant see any of it!

Like just that mod, some tires and beadlocks the scx24s are something else, they get past that 400g mark where I find it needs to be to feel right and have enough traction to make it up stuff :) I think that mod costs around 3-4bucks for the set of 4 wheels. :)

      The longer screws are there to help you get the wheel started. Get the wheel started with two long screws, then add the shorter ones. Then back out the longer ones and replace them with the short ones. It makes assembly much easier.

    ADAM! HELP! Please, please, help me, Adam. I'm in a quandary. I purchased Injora wheels (7mm axle hex nut). They fit on the axle fine. Also mud terrain (2.44 in. overall height, .81 in. width) tires, for my Panda Hobby 1/18th scale Tetra X1, Jeep Wrangler Rubicons. Parts number W1049-T1007. I don't seem to have a hex wrench from any of my R/C's, that fit the tiny beadlock screws. These are 1.0, CNC machined aluminum wheels, anodized color finish in the center, black beadlocks. Do you know what size hex wrench tool I should use to tighten these tiny beadlock screws? I anxiously wait your expert advice, and thank you very much!
