    Really love the tips on the micro adjustments. My dogs heel has been slightly forward so I will give this a try to back him up that one step. Great video

      Yep exactly. Pay him way back and you should see a difference. Make the payment come from behind as well. Good luck let me know how it goes.

    Changing up the kibble size has made a big difference. I am able to deliver more effectively and not drop it.

    Thoughts on the Ring button for the E-collar? I purchased the E300 and we are taking it slow but he is doing pretty well so far and then I saw this model with the ring button and I am like what the heck, that is awesome and now I kinda want it, lol. If I hear good things about it, I may have to pick it up and just keep the E300 for a backup or something...

    I'm learning alot through your videos.
    I've got a question I've been training my dog not to eat food when people give it to them or if someone throws food over the fence because I wouldn't my dog to eat something then it ends up being poisonous. So what I do is I throw kibbles on the floor purposely and say leave it he ends up leaving it and treat him a kibble and my labrador would want to eat the rest but I correct him by maneuvering him back to the same spot he was on and I did that for 3 weeks he can now sit and stay when I pick up the nibbles and my other method I let my mom throw him food and I say leave it and he does but I'm wondering if I'm doing it right like will he actually not eat something when thrown at him when im not looking or when im not around.

    Love your videos! I got a puppy recently, her food drive was tremendous at first because she was pretty much starving most the time. She's been fed regularly for about a month now and the food drive is getting lower and lower. How do I train with food without starving her again? She likes Purina puppy kibble but the pieces are so small they are super hard to deliver one at a time and she's going to be a big dog soon. I got a kilo of Royale Canine for puppies but she won't eat it at all.

    Any tips on how to make your dog stop eating grass, rocks, and garbages. I have a puppy that would rather go out to eat anything else but his food. It is really frustrating. I’m debating whether to just let him eat it and learn because I am not fast enough to stop him every single time.(Note: He does vomit out the the grass and or whatever he eats).

    My amstaff is around 15 months old and he is not very much food-driven, is there a way to change that?

    • @AmericanStandardK9
      @AmericanStandardK9  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes. There are ways. Make sure you watch part 1 of this series and part 3 coming up in a couple days. We touch on those topics a little bit. Think "Dinner and a Show" and "No free food!" If he's not hungry put him up try again later on. If he's still not hungry then he's not hungry. Could take a day or two before he realizes training time is time to eat. If you try to train him or feed him treats between meals then you are going to continue to struggle

      @@AmericanStandardK9 thanks a lot ill definitely watch the whole series, now that i think about it I guess my mother spoils him a lot. He is not a bad dog, no major problems but i cant recall him with 100% success.

    I see you using food,toys and e collar all the time. Is it possible to teach a dog without food,toys or e collars. And if so just wondering why not just then do that instead of using treats,toys and e collar. Wouldn’t u have a lot more reliable dog that works for you and with you rather then treat?I am a student of dog trading and hence my question. Really appreciate it.

      Yeah..check out Tom Davis working with his own dog Lakota, she is toy/play/praise driven. I’m getting ready to pick up a GSD puppy, trying to learn everything I can, good to see all the different ways …

    • @gaborsvagrik4754
      @gaborsvagrik4754 Před rokem

      @@johncspine2787 They both have the toy and treat. 99% of training video have that. Yes you can train with them but they will build ZERO relationship between you and the dog because they will work only for those things. Heck I though I was training my dog by following their lead and I thought I am a dog trainer now. I was sooo wrong. I hear trainers say " I will phase out treat". If you phase it out that means you built a false sense of trust between you and the dog. The dog will figure out that you have no treat sooner or later and they will not be nearly as reliable as if you did it WITH OUT food. Nothign is 100 percent reliable but with out food training is a lot more reliable. Check out podcast with Hans who has been training dogs for 55 years with out food. He is seventy now. Owned over sixty dogs of his own and trained thousands for others. I have to put more weight on his knowlged then most of these trainers. They mean well but... Check out the episode at Hans AlpineK9 Real. Its called Petting The Biggest Reward. Also try to look up the teach NO command. They train no with food. I imagine parents saying no and child gets reward. Nutty
