I generally don’t like the chaos of crumb quilting. Your approach provides enough control to be very appealing to me. Well done! I will actually make some crumb creations now.

Those leftovers when added to the back of the quilt adds interest and makes for another pretty side to look at. I just dearly LOVE this. I do have some scraps also.

I'm obsessed with crumb quilting for years now. Your examples are somewhat less crazy than mine but your tutorial might return me to a better planned result. Thank you!

Thank you! I love hearing you “think out loud” for your decision making. I’m going to start scrap quilting this summer and it helps to hear you make choices.

i just finished a tee shirt quilt before Christmas, then sewed nightly and on weekends…Barbie and 18” doll clothes. After Christmas I decided to tackle all the strips and scraps I have stored…if it’s big enough to be a 4” square it’s a half square triangle, small strips are being sewn together…and then I have the scrap crumb bits, without a finished plan I’m just sewing everything….I’m excited to see the mish mash.
Your quilt turned out beautiful, thanks for sharing.

Really cool. When sewing up the flying geese units, if you sew another seam 1/2" away then cut between them, you will have the HST done.

When you are sewing your blocks on the rectangle, if you sew another seam 1/2” away, then when you cut between that seam you will have another HST already sewn together for another project.

I am going to use your clip idea. I have marked with pencil to keep straight. This is where I mess up if I am going to. For some reason going to sewing machine and flipping to sew I will end up in wrong side
