      No one is forcing you to use it, it is simply a term by and for the trans community to avoid contradicting themselves, they are not going to label themselves as "confused ones". Whatever, "cis" is still grammatically correct, is a term that has been around for a long time, it was not invented yesterday.... the word "cis" comes from the Latin term "cis-" which means "on the same side". In everyday usage, "cis" is also used in other contexts, primarily in opposition to "trans," to describe situations where there is no change in state or position. Here are some examples:
      Gender: Cisgender and Transgender.
      Chemistry: Cisplatin and transplatin.
      Geography: Cisalpine and transalpine.
      Linguistics: Cislocative and translocative.

    If men want to transition, they need to be willing to either compete in a men’s league, a trans league, or be willing to give up competitive sports. This idea that everyone can have everything all the time is ridiculous. Anyone who is successful understands you have to make sacrifices. Biological women shouldn’t pay for trans women’s decisions. there is zero excuse for a mtf to compete with women. the main issue for the ftm one though is that hrt only puts you in a healthy 700-1000 test range. for a male (with low test) taking hrt they would be in that range as well.
      for males taking extra test they are putting their hormone levels at 4000+. and yes some sports also ban that male just doing the hrt to be 700-1000 since it isnt natural. not a whole lot of FtM athletes excel which is why it is so glaring that MtF athletes are dominating the women's sports
      i would 100% support a trans league since it would delete the unfair competition in womens sports period. a lot of these trans athletes refuse to believe that when you make choices (like transitioning) that other options should also lock out for that decision. its a case of having your cake and eating the entire rest of the table's cake too.

      Agreed! Trans men are an interesting conversation too because the testosterone gives them an advantage over women, but then they're still disadvantaged with biological men because of the fundamental structural differences. They kind of have a double whammy where they can either disadvantage everyone or disadvantage just themselves. I feel that a third league is the only solid option for trans men, whereas the trans women should probably compete with men because they'd probably beat the trans men's asses too.

I had to work hard and often put more time into it than some of my teammates, but because it is what I wanted to do and CHOSE to do, I put in the work. When us girls want to participate in a sport that doesn't have a seperate league, we either play with the boys, or we don't play. I personally think that until there are enough athletes for a trans league (which is likely to be a long time when it comes to local school sports), the trans girls should compete in the boys category. If we ("cis" females) have to make the choice of playing with guys or not playing, there is no reason why a trans woman (biologically male) can't compete with them.

    • @twystedhumour

      Stop using the term "cis." You're a female and a woman.

      We separate the sports for a reason. A biological reason.
      Like we separate bathrooms for a biological reason.
      If you want to mix men and women in together to play chess or poker, that's fine. But not football.
      Sorry but those guys took it easy on you. You were lucky. Most women don't have the bone density to keep up with men. Much less all the other physical advantages required.
      And since even the trans community admits that Biology and "Gender" or whatever are totally separate, then the semester should not play together competitively.
      Now I played basketball with several 6+ feet tall guys every summer for years! And I'm tiny. And yeah I do mean hard contact basketball!
      But like I said to you, the guys were taking it easy on me. And either way I was lucky to make it out of there without a caved in face or a concussion or worse.
      And also like I said, "backyard ball" is not the same as playing competitively on an official team. There's a huge difference.

    • @inthelandofmorethansmall7582
      @inthelandofmorethansmall7582 Před 4 měsíci

      But from what we're seeing, there are no girls who want to play on the boys team.
      There are only men who want to fight against women /girls.

    • @dongilbreath51
      @dongilbreath51 Před 4 měsíci +1

      @inthelandofmorethansmall7582 I absolutely understand what you're saying and I think we're on the same side here. I feel trans woman should play on the men's team for now; maybe eventually we will find a way to do things differently. That biological difference can be dangerous to females.
      As far as sports go, I've always played hard and that included football. The guys didn't take it easy on me, we were just young so it wasn't as dangerous of a place for me versus if it had been high school. It was a local league, not school sports. The point is though, it was my parent's and my choice for me to play with the boys. It's not like I joined a female team and suddenly a boy was added to the league on another team that I'd have to play against.
      Us woman should have the option to compete in a safe space, and there is no reason why a trans woman can't participate in the men's league. They can choose not to, just like I chose to play on the boy's team, but others shouldn't have to be forced into a situation they didn't ask for.

I'm sure that's long been a thing amongst high level athletes, just for the convenience of predicting aunt rose's arrival. So they're at a disadvantage compared to women who can take bc or have no period for medical reasons, as well as transwomen who have no period.

    • @MinaXo18
      @MinaXo18 Před 10 měsíci +120

      @Anonymous-wx8gf No, that actually is a wonderful example. Birth control pills don't regulate hormones like they're supposed to be regulated because birth control pills are made of synthetic estrogen, which doesn't provide a natural balance. The synthetic hormone isn't recognized the same as natural estrogen and is broken down differently because of that. It's why women on birth control are at higher risk for certain cancers like breast cancer (20% to 30% higher) and at a HUGE 50% higher chance of getting brain tumors. Now, why this is such a good example is because trans men and women are on those same synthetic hormones. Even though it's mimicking natural hormones there's still a big difference in the way the body breaks down and interacts with those hormones. Meaning just because they might be taking the hormones of the opposite sex doesn't mean they are now equal to the opposite sex chemically because of the difference in natural and synthetic hormones.

      Afton has no understanding of how women’s sports came to exist in the first place. Female athletes fought hard for the right to have the same opportunities to compete as men do, understanding that if there is no separate league for female athletes, women would always lose if they were required to compete against male athletes. If we do away with gender based sports leagues, we would be denying women the same opportunities that male athletes have. It really is that simple. I really had to laugh when Afton talked about trans people not being outed. Who does he think he is fooling? No one is going to mistake him for a woman. It is telling that the trans women who easily pass as women (like Blair) are typically the ones who have the sanest views on gender. I have heard Blair say before that her goal was to blend in, not constantly call attention to herself. Unfortunately, Blair appears to be correct that most gender activists like Afton are narcissists who only think of themselves and do not care about how their actions are affecting anyone else.

One time at a meet against a team, guess who was on the team. A 6,5, 17 yo giant male. A transgender female. He took us all out and humiliated us because we couldn't fight back. There are some nuances to be said on this which I appreciate seeing in videos like these, but you're pigeonholing all women into this concept of frail weakass types often born from a specific dymorphism, the same concept that forces biological women who aren't on hormones to take blockers, or be excluded because they weren't frail like you are at your peak.

      @@Tree-House69 as Blaire said, AVERAGES. In the world of sports and athletics, we have MALE and FEMALE divisions for a reason and within those divisions there are WEIGHT CLASSES in some of them to be fair. Original commenter might be in the lightweight in the female but as you said, there is also a biological female (one you cited as an example) that can pulverize a man which could well belong in the HEAVYWEIGHT class.
      A classic example is Lia Thomas. Not even 20th in all divisions and overall rank but when the individual transitioned, suddenly 5th in the nation overall.
      Sarah Ahmed who is the first in women's weight lifting will easily lose to the men's champion Li Fabin. In fact, there is a good chance she will not be even rank 10th when compared to the men and their stats, she might be able to lift on the level of the 13th to 17th ranker.

      @Tree-House69 She's not weak by any means. I did weight training all throughout high-school and my 20s. I've watched and worked out with many women, dozens, and almost every single one of them could not benchpress two 25 plates on an Olympic bar without months of training. 95 lbs. Every single man I've ever trained with, small, medium, and large, could bench press over or at least 95 lbs without any training what so ever.
      The top female athletes you're referencing pale in comparison to their male counterparts in every way and in every lift. No argument, end of story.
      In fact, the strongest women I've personally witnessed in the dozen or so gyms I've attended over the years are roughly equivalent to an average male who weight trains. The strongest, largest, most dedicated women are lifting what a moderately strong male with 6 months of training is lifting. This isn't an insult to women, it's just a biological reality.
      At my peak, totally natural and moderately dedicated, I could bench press just under 300lbs and squat around 400lbs. I'm not a genetic freak nor am I especially gifted physically. My lifts would put me in the upper echelon of women worldwide. Lifelong and chemically enhanced women. Sure, I wouldn't be setting a world record, but I could compete among the best of the best. Did that cause me any issues in the workplace? No, of course not, and there wasn't a single person I worked with who treated me any differently than anyone else. But the fact still stands that I was just not physically capable of doing all of the same work that they were, and if I'd tried to force them to let me, either they or myself would have likely ended up injured or worse.
    Why they can't apply this very basic logic to sports is beyond me. I'm basically convinced that no, they are fully and well aware, they just actively don't give a shit. Check their records from when they were competing against the men and you can basically confirm it.

      @@mandead1668 Transphobic? I don’t care what kind of woke irrational nonsense you try to label me with, that green haired dude, is a man with mental issues.
      My answer to “if they pass” and whether they should participate in woman’s sports or not is no, of course not, they’re men, period.
      They’re not woman so why on earth should we alter reality to suit their mental condition? If they want to prance around looking like women, I could care less, that’s their right, but when they start to infringe on the rights and private spaces of woman and girls, that’s where I draw the line.
      They, them, their created their own human category, they need to stick with it and embrace it. They are trans woman, not woman…so as the woman had to do, they can do the same, start a league of their own. There’s a whole movie on it, perhaps you should watch it.
      I know a trans woman, I grew up with him and went to school with him, Christ, I was on the wrestling team with him and he used to kick the crap out of me. I had no idea that he wanted to be a woman.
      At no point did he believe that he was a real woman. He doesn’t believe in these ridiculous pronouns, and he doesn’t believe in invading the spaces of woman and girls either. Why? It’s because he’s not selfish and he’s a decent person, that’s why.
      He knows that he’s not woman and that he doesn’t belong in their spaces. He’s still attracted to woman, so he realizes that it would be inappropriate to enter their private spaces.
      This former wrestler actually passes as a woman, more so than some real woman, and he wouldn’t dare invade their private spaces where they would be in different stages of undress. We tried for a year ago to convince him to go to the ladies pubic washroom because….he totally passes as a woman and we thought that it would be easier to do so than going into the men’s.
      We even showed him a Blair White clip where she went into the men’s washroom, then to the woman’s…he still won’t use the woman’s washroom and he will not go into spaces where they undress. Regarding being a “female” wrestler, no way. He is dead against such a thing and thinks it’s immoral and totally unethical.
      He’s right. That would not be the proper thing to do. He’s not a woman, he just presents himself like one.
      There’s my “transphobic” 2 cents. You suggesting that I “sound quite transphobic” is your problem, I don’t give a feck about your opinion, it’s a divisionist term meant to create a victim and an oppressor, that’s your problem, not mine so take it as you will. Be well.

      Yessss! It's called being a Tomboy!!!! I was also a tomboy all throughout middle school!!!! Not one adult told me I was confused or a boy!!!! Its ridiculous!!!! I have NOTHING wrong with the LGBTQ+ and Trans people at all!!!! I have a problem with how far it has become and how it is harming children!!!! I swear it is causing way more anxiety and stress on children who's brains haven't fully developed and don't think critically or how things in the future will affect them!!! I just found Blaires channel and have been binge watching the last hour!!!! This is rational thinking and not transphobic at all! Just because someone is male and is feminine doesn't mean they are trans and vice versa with girls!!! Its insane! My daughter says it's literally a trend at school! I wore baggy jeans, had brothers, 6 uncles and one aunt and one female cousin out of 15 cousins!!!! I played trucks, sports, wrestled, etc.... and had more guy friends than girls! Didn't mean I wanted to be a male!!!!

    I had no issues with the LGBTQ community, with equal rights for marriage, adoption, medical decisions, with the parades etc. in fact I've fully supported all of it for decades. Now, I'm fighting against resentment towards a portion of that community that I've always supported - how did that happen? I come to your channel to remind myself that reason and sanity exists and equality can be achieved without taking rights away from others. Thanks for being a voice of reason. The rules should be straightforward enough. If a transexual woman was diagnosed early and went straight into hormone treatment at the onset of puberty, so never underwent a male puberty, she can compete. Otherwise not. If an intersexed woman like Khaster Semenya, whose condition causes her to produce excess testosterone, competes, she needs to take medication to reduce the levels down to the typical female range. And a trans guy who has normal male range testosterone levels should compete with the men. Like that 17 yr old high school boy awhile back in Texas, who was wiping the floor with every girl in the wrestling team. It was hugely unfair to his opponents to make him wrestle with the girl's team (not to mention humiliating for him). Testosterone really does make one heck of a difference.
