    The discipline and working through despite the repeated failures is something easier said that done, and seeing how she actually did it says a lot about her character. I have nothing but respect for you!!

  • @thycuteho

    Its so much easier to say stuff like "Try & try until you succeed" when your self confidence and self trust have been shot down by not just your failures but also by the people around you. Easier to say than actually internalizing the words "it doesnt define you" even if its true. It takes REAL STRENGTH to stand up again even if it feels the world have turned its back on you so I'm genuinely proud of those who push through & rise above it all 👏🏻 ✨

    Her friends were great to go through thick and thin with her even to the point of lending her money even though they are just students themselves. On the other hand, her own biological family only shows support when she was showing results. 🙄

      Actually those successful stories mostly shows that the family dont support them. Supporting usually offer a safety net for these founders to fall on. The mentality of these founders must be correct at the start, it is either do or die. If her family offer support, we may not see her as successful as what she is today.

      It is not that the family is around only when success arrives. They had a path and expectation for her yet allowing her to follow her dream, trying it out on her own. Cutting off allowance was just try to let her know how tough it was. They will always be there to pick her up when her tank is empty.

    Taking a year off to pursue your dream is better than spending 30 years working for others with no dream and vision.

    The comment the guy made who told you to give up and this is a waste of time is really a reflection of his own belief and fear (of following dream and fail before suceeding) - glad you stuck to it and your business worked out

    Really feel the hate for the guy who demean you. This type of person is everywhere, literally dream destroyer.
    It is a good story. Very inspirational. This type of story is the best business education. Through real life example. It is x100 better than those fake business courses.
    Good work. Really love your sharing 👍👍👍👍👍

    • @fez877
      @fez877 Před 2 lety

      No hate. It’s just different perspective in life. Some people are just more practical, most likely moulded by society that getting a degree is a “must” before doing anything.
      Our education system place too much importance on having a nice cert and a good academically result. Only to graduate and work in a government agency 😂😂

    • @Boy-cm8ec
      @Boy-cm8ec Před 2 lety

      @@fez877 Nothing wrong with those having different perspective, being practical, "must" have a degree before doing anything and graduate to work in a government agency.
      they are good people who are responsible , work to feed themselves and contribute to the workforce.
      there are good merit in being practical. being practical like getting a degree also require a strong belief like the lady in the story.
      thanks for sharing.
      But that doesn't give them the right to rain on people parade or goes all out to destroy what people believe in.
      People like the lady who shared her story want to do something different, the society should just let them do what they want.
      Be it they fail badly or they success in it, at least they dare to do it.

My Families didnt support us at all, and we had to carry this business weight with the 3 of us (mom, 22yo sis and me) alone. We wanted to give up even before we started until the media gave us hope again

    • @amusedtofu
      @amusedtofu Před 2 lety

      Price-wise? I know lifetime warranty usually == expensive.
      I also know many people usually don't read the fine print of "lifetime warranty" because many will only be covering "manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship".

    Good for her, but 35k sales and the company is valued at $2.5 million? Something just doesn't seem to add up. If Shark Tank has taught me anything is that just cause you value something at $2.5 million doesn't mean it's actually worth that much.

    • @amusedtofu
      @amusedtofu Před 2 lety +1

      Because the bag isn't cheap. It costs around 39 bucks each and you have to price the brand value in too.
