🙋♀️Hello from Texas ~ I’m with you in loving old buildings, lighthouses & especially old churches.
Thank you for that feedback. There's something about old downtowns and churches and lighthouses I never get tired of
Thanks for the share! Just saw the notification!Need Wavey treats?
Thank you
Good thimble berry s on the grounds around the lighthouse when in seas on...Hope the Jam pot is still open for the season...Safe travels..
I should hit the jam pot one more time;)
Thank you for the tour and remember “A good sailor is not necasaly
Not necessarily a good sailor at sea but one that knows when not to go to sea
sweet !!
Very cool church! 😎👍 Thanks for the video!
Us old folks are actually protected from most such actions. Even fines like this can't be enforced because all of our income, house, bank accounts etc... Are protected once you are 65 or older by law.
There have been a couple of times in my life when an open chapel, with no one there, where I could sit in silence, helped me sort things in my head. They sometimes just appear when I need them the most.
⛪️ I’m 63 & reflecting back to the days when Church doors weren’t locked, & wondering what year/s was it when Church doors started being locked. ⛪️ I’m thinking maybe about 20 years ago?
That was a neat looking lighthouse, even the brick shithouse. :) I also really liked that log cabin Catholic church. Because my last name actually ends in a vowel, I've been in a Catholic church or two. It's not a stage, it's an alter. lol I wonder if you were smelling leftover incense.
Hello from the quiet sunny Ozarks Brenton! Another video of value! Hope your well and enjoying your day! I enjoyed spending time with your journeys well worth the time! Tight lines and bent poles!
Thanks.for part 3. Just getting to watch it but much appreciated 👊🏻
Hi how are you my friend I hope all is well
Glad you shared part 3. Very enjoyable. Thanks Brenton and Wavey
Another great tour video. Thanks for the tag along
Copper Harbor… one of my favorite places in the whole world. Stock up on gas and food if you’re heading up there.
It can be more expensive than you’re probably expecting.
A fun watch Brenton, thanks.
Great recap and stories!
Thank you for the tour. Keep on keeping on i enjoy your videos oh and wavey to
Thank you John. We're on am epic great loop trip this winter. Happening now. Please come along. Weekly videos..at least!
Excellent video! Thank you!
Great one !!!!!!!
Thanks for the great tour. The Gadiator story was interesting. Why was the guy swimming towing a skiff ? The rest of the story... Adventure on Brenton & Wavey. Safe travels.
I guess he bought a cheap boat to go back out to his wreck, and it died too!
Hey Brenton, on your single burner camp stove, I don't know if maybe you already know this, But if you look on the bottom of it you'll see four feet than can swing out and make it much more stable !
Really?! I'll look. That would help. Neat simple little set ups.
@@backwatersandbackroads Indeed !
Beautiful place. Thanks for Part 3!
Brenton, Thank you for another interesting video. I learn allot from watching your video. Glad you told us the story of the wrecked sail boat. The log cabin church looked really neat, and I liked that you explained how you line up the lights to find the channel at night. I admit I’d be pretty intimidated to come in a channel like that on pure visual and not a a gps charter. My boating experience is with a ski boat on the river or lakes for play.
Thank you for taking the time to watch my little videos. I'm glad you get something from them.
👍
Bernard Moitessier lost his boat because of a hurricane & poor anchor holding in sand , keeping in mind that the weather forecasting back then wasn’t what it is today. If you are curious Sail magazine sent Linn Pardey down to do a comprehensive report . Many boats were lost .
The "go small, go now" fella? Benard is one of my sailing heros. "A Sea Vagabond's World" is a great book
Great stuff Brenton! Did the entire building have that very thick wall or just that back portion? I thought I read somewhere that the fog horn was contained in a stronger structure to keep the walls from cracking from the vibration of the horn.
That's a good question. I THINK the entire building was that thick. I wonder if this one has a fog horn? I know others have driven locals crazy when they go off ;) like Split Rock
beagle barge? When u heading out?
Early Oct is the plan.
