- Create the ultimate summer cold process soap! This adorable Strawberry Soap smells as good as it looks, thanks to Pink Strawberry Fragrance Oil. It has vibrant notes of tart strawberry, kiwi, and orange.

The strawberry shape is created using the Large Heart Silicone Column Mold, poppy seeds, and Hot Pink Mica. The poppy seeds give the bars exfoliating properties, that leaves skin feeling smooth.
The heart embed is placed into the 10 "Silicone Loaf Mold and covered in white and blue soap. A few dollops of green soap give the effect of a cute strawberry stem.

16 oz. Lots of Lather Quick Mix
2.3 oz. Sodium Hydroxide Lye
5.1 oz. Distilled Water
0.7 oz. Pink Strawberry Fragrance Oil
Hot Pink Mica
Poppy Seeds

3.4 oz. Lye
7.6 oz. Distilled Water

Anne-Marie, I was curious, have you ever tried to use a greenhouse seed starting mat? I have one that I use to accelerate oil infusions and wondered if you could experiment with one for speeding gel phase and let us know what you find out. Thank you for this tutorial!
We have not, but it sounds similar to using a regular heating pad to force gel phase and it should work just fine.

It’s such a shame we live in a world / judgmental society that you have to go thru all the “disclaimers “ for what you do behind your doors ! You rock either way. I don’t mind if you choose to wear long sleeves or not 😅
You've seen Fight Club? Lye is what was put on Edward Norton's hand, no one wants to experience that! Lye is awful to get burned with. A job that involves chemicals requires PPE. Another Fight club reference, keep vinegar around if it does touch your skin. Not to sound rude, this disclaimer is 150% necessary.
She's not giving a disclaimer. She's mentioning it to set a safety standard for those that may not understand the risk involved.
What are you talking about?? When did she go through all the disclaimers? Are you referring to when she was explaining the prep involved before starting to make the soap? Those aren’t disclaimers. That is advice that she always gives and the fact that you’re talking about it in a negative way like she’s forced to do it means you’re criticizing her since she willingly chooses to mention that safety advice, not because people judge her if she doesn’t, but because she wants her viewers to be safe. How messed up is your mind that you can completely twist what she says and make up a whole story of being judged off it?
Hey, I was wondering, can you put lemon zest in cold process soap? I have been watching a lot of soap videos, and some people say that for melt and pour, if u put flowers or lavender in the soap it becomes brown and sad. Does the same browning effect happen if you put lemon zest in COLD process?
You can, it would make a great topper on cold process soap!
Can you share what temperature the oils n lye should be ?
For this recipe, we recommend that the lye water and oils have cooled to 120° F or below (and are ideally within 10 degrees of each other).
What material are your counter tops? Is it ok to lay dirty whisk/hand blender on the counter? Still learning
They are granite counter tops. If you are concerned we recommend using a towel or cutting board for your dirty implements, or place them directly in the sink to clean later.
