Kyle is clearly on drugs and his parents are masterclass enablers.
Absolutely.
They’re guilty of loving him too much. The basis for all the bad decisions is he’s their child. I wouldn’t have one fraction of their patience though. They’ve got no common sense, seems they’d want to protect each other more than put up with a psychopath adult brat.
I will say one thing and that's if Kyle is Bipolar 1 with psychotic features, he's a literal ticking time bomb if he doesn't get medication and fast. If he hears voices and has delusions, then that might account for some of his dangerous episodes.

They could rent a place in a 60+ gated community, they have security as well as staff 24/7, the son wouldn't be able to live there.

The courts are a joke. Just watched a case where a woman begged to have a violent tenant evicted. Judge ordered the tenant's dogs be removed by animal control and he was to stay 5ft away from her in the house....he killed her a few days later.

A clear case of elder abuse which is becoming life and death dangerous, and they are too tired and old and scared to take a stand. File a report with the police, get a lawyer who specialises in this area and get him out.

I’m a divorced mom of two teen boys… 15 and 6’1 and 17 and 6’8… and I’m 5’9. They’ve been raised to respect their elders and work hard in anything they do maintaining A grades, playing multiple sports every season and my oldest working part time jobs since 15! These parents are to blame for not teaching him reality and how to be a functioning adult in society!

Yes, he does have squatters rights but all that means is once he’s established residency, they can’t just kick him out on a whim. When my husband had dementia I put a magnetic alarm on my bedroom door. If the door is opened the alarm goes off and it is loud. I suggest you move to a assisted living residence and put your money in investments that are protected.

I've moved out when I was 19, little apartment. It was adjusting, had days with no food because the bills had to be paid. It learned me so much about being an adult. Before that it was just one big holiday living with my beautiful parents. I have the biggest respect for them. And life goes up and down, deal with it!
