I began dating a divorced man. He was so caring and fun to be with. It was by pure accident that I discovered he was still married. I dug deeply and found that he was not just married, he had 3 children, and was living with his wife & family when he wasn't in another city, where I lived. I called his wife, apologising to her for the time I spent with him. She & I became and remain good friends. As a woman, I'm never going to steal a man.

I was also cheated on by my first husband. Why a person who is unhappy in their marriage chooses to cheat as a solution is beyond me. Yes I take partial blame, but the fact that he didn't make an effort to let me know how he felt about the marriage and wasn't man enough to say it wasn't working before he cheated was a huge sign the marriage wasn't worth saving. I also have no respect for the other person who chooses to step in when a marriage isn't totally dissolved. Fun fact, his relationship may have lasted a year or so, but I'm going on 20 years with my second husband and he is still alone.

My husband and I had both been cheated on in our previous marriages. This is the second marriage for both of us. We promised each other that if we found someone else that we couldn’t do without, we would get a divorce rather than cheat. That was over 27 years ago. We remain faithful to each other.
