guess one improvement is showing Sokka not being as bad as a fighter in the beginning, though not realistic considering he only had a little bit of real training in the series.

I like the concept of Suki's mother, but the writing for her could be better.
Now hold on just a minute! Zhao never attacked Kioshi Island it was just Zuko who attacked! And Aang didn't talk to Avatar Kioshi on the island he did it on the giant lion turtle!
Actually if you watch the video that you’re commenting on, you may notice that Zhao does in fact attack the island and Aang does talk to and is temporarily possessed by Kyoshi. You might have to watch in slow motion or something
idk about you guys but what i saw is all the kiyoshi warrior except suki and his mother are awkward. Maybe they still new in acting industry. Btw good series overall

What's the point of firebenders doing bending if it's only in melee range? Against superior melee fighters, that seems like a redundant plan. The CGI and costumes are excellent for what you'd expect, but I can't help but join the bandwagon in agreeing that the changed writing and direction missed the mark still.

Suki and the Kyoshi warriors are the best thing that happened to the quite frankly lacklustre Netflix live-action adaptation. But even so I have to say I absolutely HATE the make-up. It's supposed to be inspired by Chinese opera, graceful and elegant. Instead, what we got was beyond horrendous.

But the live action took too many shortcuts and changed a lot of things. There wasn't even the former master/teacher of Zhao in this series.

Aang is just a child. Of course he sees all in black and white, like we all did in our youth. The Avatar is supposed to have years of training in each of the four nations. He would have learned from the philosophies of each culture. If Aang really had time to do that, he would have come out with a different take on life than his upbringing as an Air Nomad.
