After 2 years of progressing and playing with only sealed products, I felt like something was missing from the truest Yu-Gi-Oh! experience. Once again we start from scratch but this time throw trading into the mix to hit all aspects of our Trading Card Game and relive that childhood nostalgia.

When the first episode aired, based on the title, I originally thought it would be like a tutorial on rulings and how to play YGO at a high level lol but this is turning out to be another great series and I’m enjoying it! Keep it up.

this has become my favorite series ever! just got done binge watching the entire 1st season of from scratch so this is very well timed!
My names Michael and I was the OG founder for the Facebook Yugioh Trading Group UK & Europe back in the early 2010's, then I passed the reigns to Daley when I took a break for personal reasons.
There wasnt many trade groups online back then, except maybe pojo, and 1 or 2 small community ones on facebook so it was a no brainer to start one, adding my Yugioh friends from Manchester Fanboy first initially and then the Scousers and Jocks got wind of it, Kevin Mcall (probably spelt his last name wrong) being one of the Scotts . Daley (scouse) did a lot for the group and with the help of other mods and admin it has grown exponentially over the years. We got locked out of the older group that I originally created (not sure why or how lol), then Daley made the newer group and its the one that's commonly used for UK and European players to trade and sell now. I am glad it is getting some recognition in your videos 😊
I always wondered why more people don't trade in sealed only series. I think it's perfectly fair as long as you're trading with stuff you pulled
I think the main challenge is keeping the trading realistic, e.g. for Ryan staying incognito so the series doesn't net him an unfair trade, I assume that's why he used the facebook group rather than trading at locals. But then you need to provide enough evidence to show you didn't fake a trade to keep the series legit. Sounds like a lot of work, especially when online trading is quite reputation based.

at 15:35, we can see that the striker player had an ash in hand, I'm guessing he assumed lost prevented it, but lost says "The ACTIVATION of your cards and effects that include an effect that Fusion Summons a Fusion Monster cannot be negated", which doesn't prevent ash, as ash negates the effect, not the activation. "When a card or effect is activated that includes any of these effects (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; negate that EFFECT"
Yeah, negate the activation and negate the effect mostly achieve the same results, but pretty different mechanically. Like if you negate cyber emergency with ash, cyber emergency cant use its bonus effect, but if you do it with something like borreload savage, it can use its bonus effect.
Also cards with "can only activate 1 of this each turn" can be activated again if you negated the activation, but not if you negate the effect

Poor guy at 15:35. He has Ash in hand and can/should use it on the Branded Fusion. But Branded Lost’s wording is confusing so he thinks it doesn’t work. Branded Lost only prevents negation of activation, not negation of effect, so it would stop someone from using Baronne to negate Branded Fusion, but not Ash.
Nice duel. But I think I caught the sky striker has Ash in hand and could have responded to branded fusion under branded lost

Nice episode. My only note is, during the first game, when running through the combo turn 1, a better play would have been to use Albion to banish albaz and Kitt for Lubellion before shuffling albaz and lubellion for Mirrorjade. It gives you a stronger board presence than mirrorjade and kitt.

Idea! If you want to add a but more realisism. Raise the weekly to 25£ and if you have to ship your trades make that a part of your budget. It might make it a bit more complicated but if you don't ship trades in that week you can have the excess cash roll over... Just an idea

Could totally pick up the Cyber Style structure decks too and build a Branded Cyber Dragon deck in Playing Properly, I know the original plan of Challenge Mode was to build Dogmatika Cyber Dragon, but I feel like this is a really good chance at another shot of it.
20 pound budget, pick up 2 of the structures. That'll also give you Imperms to go alongside your Ghost Ogre + Effect Veiler.
Plus Branded Fusion being a 1 card OTK is too stronk

Being someone who has followed Yugioh for a while, but is only recently trying to become competitive… do you have, or would you plan to make - videos that include your thought process of your plays with your cards? I find that very helpful when learning a meta, to understand why someone is making the play they are.

yo, Revz, with Branded in Red you're not forced into Albaz-fusions, tho. I mean, you DO have to recover either Albaz or a Despia monster, but you can fusion summon anything... which can make Borreload Furious Dragon. Same thing with Branded in White~

Hmm, battle of chaos pull for a cliff hanger, betting on guardian chimera. If it is, i feel like there is an argument to make using it as trade fodder to pick up a despia engine, cus 3 aluber, 2 tragedy and an adlib could be gotten for this, which might be a decent idea
maybe you should try adding a small shaddoll package in the deck and they are fairly cheap

I just want to make sure I'm understanding if there is anything I'm missing, or if that's just one of those bumps that happens when playing IRL. Thanks again my dude!
Branded in Red was set from Albion’s effect in opponent’s end phase!

I know this is old, but trying to watch these vids to get into the game. Why couldnt widow anchor target mirror jade? just because mirror jade had its eff negated by chalice, doesnt mean mirror jade is no longer an eff monster. its just a eff monster whos eff is negated, but still an eff monster no? or is it that since mirror jade eff is already negated, widow can't resolve successfully since it cant negate an already negated eff monster?
