- Well I accidentally broke moonpig and printed 99 cards with todd howards face on them for free! This is the story of how I managed to order £1500 worth of thank you cards for free. It all began with a very simple giveaway with just one slight issue the poor intern who setup this giveaway forgot to set a limit on the orders you can place at checkout. So whilst you were meant to only get one free thank you card per day the spiffing brit is now able to secure unlimited amounts of cards for free effectively printing money! Ahhh its another classic perfectly balanced infinite money exploit!
So today I show you how to Break Moonpig by spamming the worst custom cards into the checkout and effectively printing money!
What you have seen here today is part of a fantastic perfectly balanced series on youtube where I go from game to game and break them with wacky exploits to gain things like unlimited gold. Companies usually have disclaimers in their terms and services that means they don't need to fill out orders that are possible due to technical error. Of course, when shit is automated and staff is underpaid, guess it takes some effort for them to notice :D

I mean, think how much it costs them to print 99 cards, considering they only have to buy paper and ink ( which they buy in bulk ) and the rest is most likely automated. Maybe 10 bucks? I would be very surprised if this cost them more than a few thousand dollars, and in exchange they got hundreds of thousands of people to hear about them, and see them in a positive light.
@@SylvieOnline i don’t know about the “see them in a positive light” part of that. Not saying it was negative, but i don’t think this made people go “yeah moonpie is a good company”. I’d say it was more indifferent. But it was PR nonetheless. And any PR is good PR…..usually.
But yeah it probably only cost them a couple thousand in materials and labor which is nothing to a large company, but it’s still a loss. And when you consider the fact that the company had to pay employees to be working on these orders, whatever their jobs may have entailed, it’s essentially paying them for a loss in profit as well. So you’d have to add in the time each employee spent on these loss orders and factor in their wages during that time into the loss. And that’s probably where most of the loss came in. But it still isn’t a lot

Edit: also, labor cost are probably smaller than you might imagine. I would be surprised if the system that takes the order and prints it out wasn't automated. Labor would probably only be packing and sending the order.
