  • MY LAST EVER RIDE - Honda Pan European ST1100
    In this episode I take my final ride on the amazing Honda ST1100. This bike served me amazingly well, taking me across the UK. Doing thousands of miles with varying terrain and weather conditions. But as all good things must come to an end, I take my final ride on this amazing beast of a machine.

    Considering you did over 2,000 in 6 days and it didn’t break you, just goes to show what a great bike it is.

      I must agree. I just got an '01 with 32K miles. Honda was really on their game when they made these. And to think, this is 35 year old technology serving riders well today even.

    Moved on to this from the Himalayan vid....and just bought an st1100 2 weeks back. Already replaced rear shock, ordered a final drive from US, new rectifier, clutch slave, seat trim, fluids and added handlebar risers and a screen. All in the name of keeping the wife happy on the back.
    Love the channel...next vid about the demise of the RUPP?

    A 3.5 inch roc riser makes that bike much more comfortable. I removed that ridiculously plastic bit around my handle bars and used a ram mount. You better keep her...you're talking to her. LOL.

      @richardcasey7521 Před rokem +1

      My Pan had those risers and they make a big difference. The bike in this video has 74,000 miles on it and the rider stated that Pans can go 300,000 miles! Impressive indeed. Mine has only 13,000 on it!

    If I lived in your Country, I would buy it but I live in the States. I'm looking to get back into riding again. My choices are the Honda ST 1100/1300 or the BMW R1200 C. It's time I live for myself again and enjoy life.

    I find the whine from gear driven cams straight cut annoying.

    Maybe a Honda Blackbird with risers on bars and lowered pegs?

      I'm pondering picking up a used Honda Pan 98 to have as my daily vehicle. I'm pretty strapped on income and I come to the conclusion even with depreciation in account this bike would cost me about 50-60 €/month to own and drive.The only thing that I'm worried about is how much they cost to maintain? Do they just work even with very little maintenance?

    • @opp4baba1
      @opp4baba1 Před rokem

      @@jace4817 mine has been pretty reliable. Just normal maintenance.... Nothing has broken in the 6 years I have owned it. I am pretty happy with that.... I even traded my European auto for a honda accord because of the reliability factor. So far pretty good....

    This guy says it is just like all large japenese motorcycle tourers with some decent power & - heavy ) + comfortable long distant cruisers. I suppose if anyone was to find one in very good condition 🙄🤔 & very well looked after it won't be as cheap as this one was. Proberbly over £3, 500 secondhand at least If it was perfect ( very, very rare ) it be around £5, 500 to £8, 750 minimum. But, it would have to be fully checked over to verify it was 100% perfect for a price like that. A brand new one would cost around £12, 000 As the Gold wing Is about £18, 000 + last i heard & that was a good few years ago so more for them now. But, i do like this bike. i prefer something a bit smaller ( HONDA CB500 or 650 with the fairing kit on it. ) lovely in white but i would have it it red or black 😁😁😁😁😉👍 SO VERY SAD!!! when beautiful cars or motorbikes are sold on It can be like saying goodbye to a very close friend that is unlikely to see ever again. 😳😟😟😟
