      @@orangecounty2033 Yes, I have! I moved to Florida in 88! I've been to plenty of games at the OB 90 to before it was knocked down. The loudest Miami home game in history was 2017 Miami vs ND at the Hard Rock. I talked to quite a few ND fans who said it was the loudest college game they've ever attended before. I met a ND alum in his late 60's who been to ND road games all over the country to USC, Texas, OU, Penn State, Michigan, Miami OB and others. He himself said that was the loudest game he had been too including ND home games.

      the ‘94 FSU game is widely recognized as the loudest game in Miami history. The stadium almost imploded when Carlos Jones pick6’d Danny Kanell and some of the stands were visibly rocking from side to side. The West End Zone was an asylum on fire

    Looking back at these games it shocking that:
    1.Toretta won the Heisman.

      Gino was not a very good QB. He threw off his back foot a lot. His accuracy was always suspect. His arm strength was below average. He benefited from having a tremendous amount of talent around him that covered up his below average talent.

      Ken Dorsey is somewhere in that conversation as well. I remember re-watching some 01 and 02 UM games, and my goodness Ken Dorsey was so overrated. Torreta and Dorsey were good COLLEGE QB's, but because they were surrounded by SO MUCH talent, future NFL level talent, that they were made to look FAR better and put up far better numbers, then there individual talent would lead you to believe how good they were.

      I'm sorry but you didn't out play anybody. you had only 1 touchdown you were forced to kick 6 field goals. of which you only made 3. Torreta was a crap QB for Miami but still lit you up for a couple. You moved the ball with a lot of help from penalty's. FSU's defence and Tortetta kept you in the game.

    FSU should've ran 1 more play before the FG at the end. 4 turnovers, the safety was like a 5th. 3 missed FG's , and half a dozen punts on Miami side of the field. We would've definitely won the rematch innthe fiesta bowl had Bama lost to Florida in the sec championship

    • @tryingtobebetter130
      @tryingtobebetter130 Před 8 měsíci +2

      Agreed. As a life long Miamian, there was No need to tear down the Orange Bowl. The poverty orgainzation/the pathetic Marlins (could have had a stadium built at a different location).
      Also, the iconic Miami Stadium was torn down (for apartments). We, Miamians can thank the older Cubans for both of these disrespectful (to Americans) power-driven actions. To this very day, there are bad feelings toward what was done and by whom. The ungrateful (for being welcomed so warmly to our country) and uncaring (about our feelings) people. Was so very unnecessary.
