I own this car.
The main reason is how we press down the accelerator. We need to do an ultra feather touch to get maximum mileage and as she said, being in the right gear. I got 22.5 kmpl in Mysore Bangalore Highway with 100-110 speed and 19 with 120-140 speed.
Today early morning at 3am drove my 4th gen petrol city to airport from Tripunithura. No traffic and escaped some of the signals also. Reached airport Nedumbassery at 4am (31 kms) and after dropping my wife at airport reached home at 5 am. Total distance covered was 62 kms and my Honda showed a passionate mileage of 20 kmpl. I used to travel in the same route during peak traffic hours and hardly get 14 kmpl and take two and a half hours.
Mileage ടെസ്റ്റ്‌ cheyumbole Time കൂടെ നോക്കണമായിരുന്നു.. 2ണ്ട് പേരും എടുത്ത് time to finish task.
Tip correct ആണ്.. Higher gearil Engine ലഗ് ചെയ്തു ഓടിക്കരുത് mileage കുറയും.

I am using Honda City 2018 CVT. Getting 11-12 in city and 14-15 in Highway usage with AC on at both times. Very happy with the milage cause my friend who owns a Venue Turbo petrol Manual is getting 9-10 milage and when comparing the power figures venue has 120bhp and the city has 118bhp which is not much of a diffrence.
A 1L petrol manual returns less than 10 ? adipoli... My 1.8L petrol NA delivers 16 to 17 kmpl when I travel Kochi - Bangalore and the same car returns 11 to 12 kmpl in Bangalore City. Can extract more if I drive carefully, but I don't have the patience to do so. I am starting to like my Corolla now. 😃😃😃

Hi brother my city 2009 model third generation have did 349000 kms and still the engine is punchy and fuel efficient till 23kms while driving at 80 kms/hr.
Achieved 24.3 kmpl in 2022 Tiago AMT in similar way
