  • In this client color analysis case study, I reveal 2 reasons why my client should avoid Classic BLUE.
    After that, I will show you how I find her 12 healthy colors with my science-based color analysis method, including color combinations.
    There are not 4 color types as suggested by the Seasonal Color Analysis but 9 billion (and growing)!
    The final colors that I develop are hand-picked for my client.
    Since every person is unique and has a unique color type, only she can wear those exact colors and I don´t recommend wearing her colors even if your color type seems similar (colors have a huge impact on your health mentally, emotionally, and physically)!

    I feel I have that orange of her but I have yellow too in my skin. I feel I have that. Some Magentas and some blues will make me unpleasant patchy yellow and yellow orange.

    My root skin guess was red! I think the res and yellow root types are easier to spot even before we get to this step but the orangey types can ve slightly harder. Doing the full analysis is clearly very important even if you have a hunch where its going.

      Well observed, you were close!
      Observation is great when the eyes and brain are trained properly for analysis.
      But even I don't rely on visuals alone. I dive into science and calculations. It is incredible that there is a system behind it that helps me be so accurate.

    A great video❤, having done a colour analysis with you before, I would love to know how much wiggle room my colour type has in terms of color frequency. I know I have a lot of variation when it comes to depth, but would be great to know if this is also the case with frequency 😊

    • @ellaraystyle
      @ellaraystyle  Před měsícem +1

      Great question! Generally, medium and soft chroma types can not deviate much from their perfect frequencies. Around 5 degrees is a max, depending on the specific color type and the frequency spectrum.
      For some colors, some color types can deviate more than with other frequencies.
      In my experience, it is rather complex.
      I will do a video about this visually showing what I mean, and I am thinking of adding these charts for chroma, depth, and contrast in the Color Palette 48.
      Or maybe offering it as a stand-alone service. What are your thoughts and wishes on this?

      Thank you, your answer makes sense. I could see from my 12 Colors that I was recommended a lot of blue hues (true, classic, and cyan). My interpretation was that I can "move" rather freely on the middle-left side of the blue spectrum as indigo is the only blue hue not recommended. I look forward to future videos regarding this 😊.

    • @ellaraystyle
      @ellaraystyle  Před měsícem +2

      Unfortunately, it is not the case. If I recommend someone blue hues it doesn´t mean that they can move freely in that spectrum. The seasonal color analysis tends to do that which leaves many people dissonant with the colors recommended.
      Each color type follows specific color harmony rules - meaning it dictates specific frequency distances and thus your palette will contain those colors while excluding those colors that are outside of that harmonic system.
      The Color Palette 48 is designed to reveal your entire spectrum and give you a better idea of your chroma/depth/and contrast type. While color palette 12 contains only your 12 best colors (not the spectrum).
      I am looking forward to creating videos about this topic!

    I wasn't too sure if she's closer to red or closer to orange, but definitely in between the two, when I then saw the individual colors (both the warm hues and then their complementary colors) I was sure she's closer to orange than red. But I also felt like neither the emerald nor the cyan were spot on perfect and thought she might sit even more in between like she's even need a tiny bit more warmth to the cyan but not as much as one with a red root skin color that leans orange, if that makes sense. Yet she does shine in the cyan which makes it still be very great for her.
    And I am so fascinated that I looked at the first triadic set and thought "well, this is not really out of harmony, but also something is still off", I couldn't fully put a finger on it, but It just felt like it wasn't fully correct. While that yellow, magenta and cyan set then made it click for me. I really prefer the way you do these analysis videos nowadays as opposed to the way you did them in the beginning of your channel. Your viewers got time to observe for themselves before you reveal the correct answer.
    I am still not 100% sure about how the triadic set is logically connected to the root skin color. From my pure observation I would think it either contains a color that is your actual root skin color or its complementary color, depending if one leans more towards cooler or warmer colors, but I am really not sure if that's correct. And then there often times are colors within other sets that also harmonize perfectly with a person yet the set is really not theirs.
    I know how to calculate triadic colors and complementary colors and found a tool that works with the natural color wheel instead of the RGB color wheel, which is fun to play with. But that's it, it's fun, it's nothing I would rely on because I don't know enough to do this accurately. It would be cool if I was to paint the house in triadic colors and would use that tool to calculate the matching colors, maybe, but that's about it. I think that's also more the intention behind that tool, to calculate a set of colors for interior design or fashion, not to find one's best colors. Could it be used for that purpose? Maybe, if you know what you have to calculate and how.

      It's great to know that my new videos are better than the old ones! I am constantly improving my videos with every feedback I get.
      Without calculations and the knowledge of real color harmony/color energy, it is not possible to understand and apply the Triadic analysis and how it relates to the Root Skin Color. It is not something that can be determined by observation - at least if you want to be accurate and avoid mistakes.

    How many colors one could have in the skin? I have green, red, yellow, orange..

    • @ellaraystyle
      @ellaraystyle  Před měsícem

      there are only two colors that it comes down to: Red and yellow. The mix of it is orange. The mix with black and grey results in a variety of browns and blacks.
      You will have mainly either pheomelanin (yellow & red) or eumelanin (black & brown) in your skin. The interaction with the visible light spectrum results in various colors - which is why you cannot use a color picker to find your skin color or Root Skin Color because the picker only picks one of thousands of hues in your skin.
