- This is my review/opinion on the 2013 Honda Accord EX-L. Unfortunately I lost some footage but I hope you find this information useful. A clip that I lost included the engine bay and I was very disappointed to see some of the bolts with heavy rust.

been using this car for 10 years. It is an amazig car. Maintenance has been limited to tires and oil change. In 2022 i would still buy this car.
I have a 16 ram sport with the 5.7 , been looking at the Hondas but really don’t want to sacrifice the “power” throw you in the back seat, could you tell me if this has that power and if not is it super noticeable?
Me and my gf are about to buy one of these with 86k miles, same year

Mazda still after all these years of production still doesn't have the "reliability" reputation that Honda has.... so keep your Mazda an may the force be with you..... :-)

You can adjust the volume of the lane departure warning system.....
This CVT is one of the best on the market, I'm told! I bought one, a EX-L, and indeed is a bit diff but good: takes a little getting used to, but it does perform. At triple digit speeds, the vehicle is rock steady with a nice engine note! Kudos to Honda!
Good job! I like your review from a real world user's perspective, unlike a lot of "professional" reviews here on CZcams. They may have better camera work, sound and editing, but in terms of contents they are pretty much paid advertising.
Another reason for the high revs was b/c he was accelerating hard with econ button on. Notice how the speedometer is green while he accelerating instead of white…econ button

Repair costs are much lower on hondas versus mazdas, so you might get more longevity with the honda...

I've test-driven both Mazda 6 2.5 and Honda Accord EXE 2.4 in Europe. BTW, we have the Honda with the 5-speead automatic transmission which is just great!
Overal, I liked the Accord much more than the Mazda! Now trying to make a choice between the Accord and the Audi A6.
Did you do decibel testing for the highway speeds?
Very hard to beat Toyota and Honda in the long run. WHY? mantainig cost and durability. Honda will not be the fastest or best looking, but all it have to do it do it well & for a long time. that is hard to beat ,Mercedes did not even live that promise.

I heard a lot of people love the 2013 Honda Sport with the 6 speed manual. Not so much with the CVT. The difference in gas mileage isn't that much of a trade off for more of a manual shift "fun" factor.
if the CVT is shitty cant you just put it in normal drive mode too? or is thier no normal drive mode?
Brakes were good. In general it's a solid car. The things I didn't like were the seats, the engine/CVT combo, the lack of split seats in the back, the instrument panel, the lane departure capabilities and the rusty bolts in the engine bay were a turn off.
So my accord also had that 3 second delay. I hated it. Looks like it only wasnt mine.

A cvt would keep rpms to a minimum for better fuel economy when driven normally. However, when the throttle is wide open it will stay at higher rpms for peak performance

The Ex-L model has 278 hp , 252 lb feet of torque. O-60 on flat terain, dry conditions of 5.6 seconds.
The v-6 does, the i4 has 185 hp, 182 ft lb/torque and 7.6 seconds. Still not bad.

I may have misused the wording here... I Just meant that the look is pretty straight forward, if you thought it looked good today you won't think it looks outdated in a few years. (But who really knows)
oh yeah, the lower screen just feels like the 80's The top one is nice.
Unfortunately it just didn't stop raining... So I couldn't get accurate read. Definitely quieter than the Mazda 6.
Get a steering wheel cover .or wrap like 5 of them on there like an old school G
Cvt is only on the v4 engine.
Which is better Nissan Altima 2.5 or honda accord 2.5?
I test drove the Altima shortly after I did the accord it's been a while, but I recall I liked the Altima better. There is however some buzz on the internet about a noisy steering hydraulic pump or something to that nature, I would check to see if this was resolved. I did not notice any noise on my test car. At the end of the day you need to test drive each one and pick the one you think you will like for the long run. The only contender that I haven't tested yet is the Ford Fusion. The new 2015 Ford Focus looks interesting but it's not a mid size.

The 2 liter turbo has regular 10 speed transmission. But verify this info. I'm pulling this out of memory.
Of course it can but it also can be done with every car with this much technology.
i thought cvt stays low revs...shifts to highest gear for fuel consumption...high revs is wut manual drivers like...but autos shift before redline..

Not much fun with any manual when you average 15mph stop and go for 45 minutes per day.
Currently cars can only be "hacked" by opening up the entire front dash to have access to all the cars ecu chips.
What does that even mean
picked up this exact car today for 9800.00 with 43,000 miles no big deal.

@@Listalgia i love it.ive put 7,000 miles on it driving like a champ. gonna do brakes soon. changed cvt oil and engine oil over to amsoil. it drives great and has no issues. such a great car.

To say Mazda is junk is simply not true. They make very nice cars. The Altima is a nice car as well.
Where is the sunroof ?
i love the layout of the screen on top with high-res but its use is limited and then secondary screen looks like something from a childrens toy. The interior shows signs of cheapness contrary to what magazines say. That 'dusty' trim around the secondary screen can be easily taken off and its a cheap piece of plastic trim.

Did this have an S option in the shifter? That is the "performance" gear and you didn't run the Honda on it. The automatic function is designed for economy and cruising. This creates an integrity question on the review. You judged the Mazda better lol.

You can pick and choose what you want. Will this car work for 95% of the people? Probably. But reviews should point out what can be possible deal breakers. You want to hear just good things, don't watch a review.
