Copenhagen, Denmark: Day 4, 1/2 days of our Baltic Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette 16th May 2023

- Today was Day 4 of our Baltic Cruise on the beautiful ship, Celebrity Silhouette and we docked in Copenhagen, Denmark at 1.30pm. This was not an ideal docking time as it only gave an afternoon to explore places that we open. However, our tour party, Jay and Denise, plus Andrea and myself made the best of it and had a great time.
The ship docked at the new Cruise Terminal and that meant we needed to take a Shuttle bus to the town centre which Celebrity provided. We got the first bus and we dropped off at King's New Square, beside the Threatre and very central.
First of all we explored the Nyhavn area and then walked across the Stroget, the main shopping street. After a short while we took a detour to locate a Yarn shop for Denise, which enabled us to see some other sites and buildings.
Once back on the Stroget we proceeded on to the the City Hall Square, found the Hans Christian Andersen statue, and then entered Tivoli Gardens. Although quite busy we were able to see almost everything and enjoyed those doing the rides. From here we went into the Lego shop before returning back down the Stroget to get the bus back.
A great first day in Copenhagen.

Yes, had to be careful crossing roads! More bikes than cars there. Weather is going to be good tomorrow afternoon so we’re going to the Langdales to do an outer loop including Pike o stickle. Thx for watching, regards, Ashley
Just as well you had a plan B and a much better tour around Copenhagen, real interesting place with a lot of variety. Food looked a bit strange but as long as it tasted good, fair play. Shame the church was closed and cannot believe you walked right passed The Dubliner without going it.....cheers Alan

Thanks, funny though I've got a copyright hit on this video because in the churros bit there was shop music playing in the background which I never noticed. CZcams police are too efficient. They are still letting me play it everywhere except Russia!! Thanks for watching, regards Ashley

Hello, nice video and pictures. I enjoyed watching. I wanted to know how were you able to go to this places from the cruise port? Did you take public transportation or did you take a guide tour. Also are all these places that you visited within walking distance or you had to take a bus or something to get from one place to another. Appreciate the added information. Cheers!!
Ana, thanks for watching. The new cruise dock is way out of town so we took the ship's shuttle bus into the city centre - 10 or 15 dollars return with a regular service - from the centre we walked to everything. You could do a ship's tour or the HOHO to get about but we prefer to DIY most ports. Regards, Ashley
