As someone who moved around almost every year since 2017, the first home that my boyfriend-now-husband & I shared together we stayed in for 2 years. I grew SO emotionally attached to that house! I'll look at old photos of the meals we cooked, gatherings we've hosted, and all the vegetables, herbs, and flowers we planted in our garden, our DIY home improvement projects, and our cat's favorite hiding spots sprinkled throughout the house. So excited for you, Jake, and future baby Jang to grow & make new, lasting memories in your new home!! 🥺♡

Has that apartment odor completely vanished by now?🤞🤞🤞If not, my best advice is adding a a few herbs & flowers in pots/vases with scents that you love to the rooms that is not only lovely to look at but help improve the rooms odor a little or everytime you feel like the apartment smell gets too much, you can just walk up to the plant/flower & smell it🌱🌷 I personally love rosemary for my kitchen & lavender in my bedroom 🤍 Other than that it seems like you chose a lovely new home & thanx 4 sharing your interior shopping journey for this. It's sooo fun to watch 💚 Jake trying out the "grandpa chairs" 😅 I believe they are every (middle aged) man's dream - he just started a little sooner 😋🥰
That’s a really good idea !! The smell in the common area completely disappeared, now there’s only a humid kinda smell left in the guest bathroom so I’ll try to clean those drains again as well and see how it goes! 💚 And that’s soooo funny hahahah, I’ll pass this on to Jake 🤣💚

I just moved as well! Away from a neighbour who woke me up by throwing up at 5.20 every morning exactly 🤮 And it is SOO exhausting to move! It really tires you out. Especially packing things down, and then unpacking it all again haha. But it's so nice once you have all the things at your new place finally. Hope you become happy in your new place.

If you don't frame your pictures, laminate them, they last longer and won't tear or stick to the glass. Always fold your sweaters, hanging them stretches them out.

We wiped everything. Walls, cabinets, seals around the stove, ceiling! I completely understand. We have lived in our home going on 3 years and if we leave for longer than 2 weeks the old smell comes back.

Sounds weird but if you put pinecones by the air vents and things it can also help deodorize smells, I had a musty smell in my last place and putting a bunch of them really helped!!! Dried pinecones!!!
Oh that’s a good idea!! The smell is gone after I cleaned the drains again actually, now I just gotta do it to the guest bathroom and hopefully it works again 💚

You should try getting an air diffuser and put fragrance essential oils on it to get rid of the smell. Also, try looking at the sink they say a lot of korean apartments don't have that thing to stop your sink from stinking.

I lived in Seoul when I was 21 but moved back to the USA to finish my studies and just other stuff lol. I'm so proud of you Sis! We're the same age and I've been watching your videos since I was in high school but this is my first comment on your channel lol. although we are in completely different stages of life I'm always feeling inspired by your journey and you! Sounds weird but if you put pinecones by the air vents and things it can also help deodorize smells, I had a musty smell in my last place and putting a bunch of them really helped!!! Dried pinecones!!!
Oh that’s a good idea!! The smell is gone after I cleaned the drains again actually, now I just gotta do it to the guest bathroom and hopefully it works again 💚

Congratulations on your move! I'm starting my 2nd month after my relocation to Korea. I haven't started decorating my apartment yet but I've settled and thinking about how to put my space together. When you said garlic and black pepper I know exactly the vibe you're describing! I also hate when my house smells like other people ~ I'm currently fighting aromas leaking from other apartments into mine and it feels like fighting shadows, it's so difficult to fix something like that.

Most probably, the smell comes from the curtains. We had the same problem when we moved in our last apartment 😅
There are no curtains here tho haha 💚 it was the drain since it disappeared after I cleaned them 💚

You should try getting an air diffuser and put fragrance essential oils on it to get rid of the smell. Also, try looking at the sink they say a lot of korean apartments don't have that thing to stop your sink from stinking.
