Im a boy from Rusty, a child of the Bafokeng. This man made me love Platinum Stars. Sad how things beyond football killed the team, and stopped him from making us legendary. Love and Respect Vuyo and I wish him more successes. Sho groot Man!
Top Guy
Depression is real with footballers, glad you're right and you trust God.
God bless
Vuyo used to stay at the same estate as I did in Centurion around Kosmosdal. I used to see him jogging and at times at the grocery store around the area with his wife and kids. He looked very fit and seemed so focused, down-to-earth, humble and respectful. He had a good energy and aura about him. I am not surprised that he's still playing well at the professional level. When I saw that, it was easy to see that he'll do well for himself and he'll still be competing at the highest level of football in SA. I really hope he keeps up what he's doing and wish him all the best with TX Galaxy.
Nothing but respect. Hope to meet you one day mr V🙌🏾🙌🏾
I hope this interview reaches the young and professional player out there, salute Vuyo o Lepara
If you take care of your body it will take care of you!!! One of the best disciplined players of our time, consistent and a regular at most if not all his teams! For a very long time his name would be mentioned in each and every season; that takes a lot of hard work, determination, nerves of steel and focus!!! Well done Ntate Mere!
Humble legend this one
We don't celebrate our own instead we bash them till we become proud of our hate, Vuyo he's an practical example of a hard and being humble especially in the game that can be so harsh at times but he's still going strong at his age this guy should be celebrated more. Vuyo had a long amazing career 🙌 👏 it's only few can claim that.
Thanks big bro for this giving us an opportunity at least to have an understanding what these guys are going through in their careers hopefully the young gins will pick up something from this great Athlete.
Stefano De Mere 🦁💙🌍🗽🙏
Siyabonga, we must tell stories our our Legends and celebrate them.
this guy has been so much and he has a never die attitude what a legend
Very inspirational he really had a long successful career in soccer especially considering that he never went overseas but played locally throughout
Big ups Bro Vuyo
So inspirational. Vuyo comes across as a very humble servant of the sport, who had to navigate many twists and turns without any grudges. This is the stuff that legends are made of. Keep on walking!
Younger players must learn from his experiences, Top Guy.
I enjoyed this interview
VUYO MERE is a superstar

Am not a player but Vuyo was my favorite in sundawns ,I learn more as he speak about a life and mistake while he was young star
what a great story by the LEGEND himself, I'm inspired.
Wow what a beautiful interview, much respect. It is timeless and truly inspiring to both young and old of all walks of life. What a true legend.
My brother
he's my best right back favorite player in south Africa VUYO MERE specially on his time playing for Mamelodi Sundowns
Vuyo Bra yaka…kere Dankie for what you gave us in the South African football fraternity 🤝🤝
Thank you so much for such a great interview and you as the interviewer allowing him to speak with no interactions.
I was just expecting much more deep insights as to the space/zone he and the team was in psychologically when they were in NFD and how they managed to get themselves promoted. The motivational talks that were happening amongst the team there and how it felt to take the team to PSL, how it felt to come back and win the games. I just wanted more of his journey around that and his return to glory but thank you so much for a cool interview and you've just earned yourself a subscriber.
Thanks for the constructive feedback, it is highly appreciated.
As a lekoelea fan, when I 1st saw Vuyo he reminded me of Steve, but he was attacking from the back,so it was a bit awkward for me because I didn't understand why he was defending
Basically he was a modern era player back in the old era where he began!
He said something profound, ‘the person you’re Ill-treating today, could be your boss tomorrow ! I saw this firsthand when I went to certify documents at a local police station and discovered I was missing one of the copies, I went to a nearby business outlet to make the copy but the girl helping me was in such a horrible mood she just dumped on me! I simply looked at her, paid and took my stuff. The following one of my staff members knocked on my office door and said someone wanted to see me, we had advertised for a position…boom 💥in my office she walks in, the very same young lady, and her face said it all…she was shocked but she did her best to put a smile on her face, but it was clear, she wasn’t smiling on the inside! I used the moment not to humiliate her but to teach her about people skills especially at a workplace…but of course I didn’t take her, I didn’t need to call her employer for reference…I saw and experienced her behavior at a workplace firsthand and I wasn’t about to employ such a person
Yeah…
You had an opportunity to make her a better person. Unfortunately YOU were still stuck in the past. Leadership holds no grudges.
Vuyo mere so inspirational. Thank you
Definitely
True...I once was previliged to meet you in person ko Katleho Mphela, he just moved to Blue Hills at the time and you were also with Koketso Mmotong.
Vuyo is the first and only professional footballer I have made physical contact with and we made a conversation back in 2015 in Rustenburg. Big up bro
Top Guy

Vuyo Mere was my best player at Sundowns... The guy was superb as a rightback... I am surprised to hear that he was partying coz i didn't recognize that i was shocked to see him out of Sundowns... I remember him mistakenly making a penalty and they took him out 1st half and i was angry
Umjita ngembeko I wish amajita amanintsi kwiPSL can learn from him to also stay longer in the game
Definitely, a good role model.
