You're stupid if you think it doesn't deserve to be at 8.0. The Leopard at 7.3 was just overpowered, its speed and turret speed were just nuts on top of the trolly turret armor. Not to mention that it has a pretty good APDS and HEAT-FS that just cuts through almost everything (HEAT-FS is even stronger after they very noticeably buffed it). It also has no right to be below the T-54, since that's just straight up worse aside from armor (which gets ignored by lolpen rounds), but at the same BR.
Try AMX-30(1972) next. They are very similar in both design and gameplay style because not many people know that the Leopard 1 and the AMX-30 were developed together in a conjoined program by Germany and France to make Europe's new MBT. The program fell apart due to disagreements but the progress made while together derived into these 2 tanks thus why they are a little different.
The leopard is a nice tank, very agile, even the stock shell is good, except against soviet tanks with random spots that have 30,000mms of kinetic protection. Unfortunately a Bradley could kill it by sneezing.

HEAT-FS? I use APDS mostly due to its high velocity and non-premature detonation. And it pretty much does its job at post penetration damage
