- Smash bros is awesome for putting in all of these beloved characters that we know oh so well!! but....what about tabuu?? who the heck is this guy, well sit down and let's find out..the answer might just blow you away!
Based on this, the cutscene with Ganondorf teaming up with Masterhand against Taboo all by himself, without having anyone else next to him leading him to do so really is a shining moment for Ganondorf.

I like to think that Tabuu is trying to get Master Hand to "grow up", but when all of the characters come in, it's like the imagination fighting back. Honsestly, there are many adults who haven't let go of their imaginative and child-like selves and have made done a lot. So, why let go of your child self when maybe the imagination can allow you to solve complex problems that your adult self would only get frustrated with.
In the words of Tom Baker as the 4th Doctor: "There's no point in growing up if you can't be childish sometimes"

They do to me...
Tabuu is a reflection of growing up. The kid that was in the first game, then as he became a teen, then Melee came out. When Brawl debuted, this is when that kid who was a teen had to put away those "toys" and accept adulthood and its responsibilities. Tabuu in a nutshell is that same adult, who is fighting inbetween him trying to still be a kid and what his mom and society is trying to tell him.
Basically rebellion in a nutshell.
So what would you call Tabuu being vanquished by the characters?

I've never given Tabuu much thought (mostly because I don't own Brawl and I've never beaten it or seen any videos of the Tabuu battle), but these are some interesting thoughts. However, I've never really thought of Master Hand and Crazy Hand representing two different characteristics of the child per se. To me Crazy hand has boiled down to two things:
1. When you're a kid (...or an adult who writes manga...) and you've got some ultimate good guy or bad guy (go Super Beat-Em-Up Dude!) then eventually your budding creativity decides it's time to take that to the next level with a new character who outclasses the status quo of ultimate (go Mega Ultra Supreme Oblivionator Beat-Em-Down Master Warrior!). For me, that's what Crazy Hand represents. Your explanation of Master Hand I totally agree with and then later the kid decides he wants a new, maybe even more powerful boss so he brings his other hand into play.
2. The kid is probably right-handed. That's why a lot of Master Hand's attacks seem more dexterous and Crazy Hand, which he's less coordinated with, uses attacks like flailing on the ground.

The best part was the "This is just a theory, a Game Theory!". I mean, I was totally expecting it!
I personally think this theory is true, and I love it cause it makes Smash Bros. so much more than just a fighting game. It makes Smash Bros. the literal manifestation of our desire to hold onto our childhoods as well as the spirit of a child that we all have inside us, and I think that is amazing.

The Primids are the people of society,
Galleom is the enraged boss,
Duon is the duel-personality elders,
Bowser, Wario and Ganondorf are The Child’s wants to join society,
The Dark Guns the bad guys used are hurtful words while the Dedede Badges are the ‘It’s okay’ words…
And the Bombs are the agreements of joining society…
It's funny how I realised that Tabuu meant taboo when I clicked the video.
I really like this theory. And when you really think about it, it means the plot of Subspace Emissary (mainly, its themes) is very similar to The LEGO Movie.

Actally, I can explain why you're right, even if this is a theory. In every creation, and even if this is commercial or artistic, you put a part of yourself, inconsciently. And this is even more true if there isn't a complexe scenario in this. Sakurai created Smash Bros series with his full innocence. He had a lot of ideas, as an idealist child, in only two years, and then comes Melee. But, like you said, the child grew up, and so did Sakurai.
I also think Sakurai wanted the player to destroy the chains that society created. I think he wanted that the player find a way to rant.
For me, Melee has been a innocent game, with melting universes and all. But Brawl was really dark for me, because I was bullied for playing Zelda at my age (I was 13) and I fell in depression for 3 years. And those years, I spent hours playing Brawl to vent all the pain and my hate.
I also think Tabuu could be a personification of society. ^^

i got an idea of a smash bros movie, it can be a combination of the crossover action of avengers with the moral of toy story maybe the whole story takes place in a 17 yr olds mind who loves to play with action figures( or in this case amiibo's) and then the subspace minion began invading shrouding the place with shadows which represents the taboo (it can be his parents saying that his too old to be playing with toys or his school constanly mocking him) the guy is having and when the nintendo characters fight back it represent himself trying to defend himself.
Sounds fun and interesting....I'd watch it :D

I find it interesting how Tabuu’s posture looks like he’s covering himself, like he’s feeling vulnerable and exposed, and his weak spots appear exposed in the open when trying force away the fighter. The golden cage thing he does traps the fighter and get launched away like being forced away too, like how the growing up child may feel trapped in being pressured to push something away. As a kid I never understood what Tabuu was about but I do remember that he represented something according to a theory I heard about, but couldn’t remember.
I used to hear that Master Hand and Crazy Hand could represent creation and destruction respectively.

So... I really LIKE this theory and DEFINITELY believe it to be true. However Game Theory; actually covered a similar theory, stated that TABUU is actually your parent or guardian denying you of your childhood and expecting you with caving in to status Quo ideas and norms. Basically you're Master and Crazy hand struggling with how to deal with growing up and TABUU is the adult forcing you to grow up and possibly punishing you. TABUU folds his arms in disappointment and has a disaplining stance. He doesn't WANT to punish you. He takes NO pleasure in disaplining you, but in order to reach your fullest potential, you need to grow up sometime. Perhaps TABUU isn't really evil; just doing what ANY concerned parent would do to help you reach adulthood. We, ourselves are the rebellious Master and Crazy Hand trying to efficiently grow up. During this confusing time we view our parent or guardian as BAD or holding us in chains ⛓, forcing us to do things THEIR way, society's way. But after our rebellion, we settle down, work with TABUU and are presented with the Master Core. A BALL of our pent up frustration and anger, finally released in a positive way. Letting go of the pain and moving on to a new chapter in life. Also the SMASH Ball is our negative emotions unleashed in an unhealthy manner. BOTH theories work for me. 🙂👍 Anyways MY opinion is he's just a dick.💩😆

I recently went in a period where I guess I wanted to grow up and forget about games and anime, and for several years I ignored them... and then just recently (last year) I re-started to go "fuck that" and bought a few posters and now Moogle plushies filling my room again xD And I won't ever again be ashamed of them.
