there's an achievement called the good ending.
me and my brother played this and we stood in that fucking hallway for at least an hour trying to figure out how to get the good ending. we discovered that you can douse the torches in the hallway so we thought that the marionette, being in a pretty dark room, may only like the dark. so we doused the torches and stood by the gate expecting the marionette to come chasing after us and maybe press down the button on it's way just long enough for us to escape. then, when nothing happened, we played through the game many times over, looking for what little thing we needed to do differently to unlock the ending where we both survived. eventually we took to the internet to try and get a hint. then we learnt that to get the achievement you need to pull the red lever a bunch of times really quickly. we did so and some confetti burst out of the lever and a party toy sound played.
that was it.
there is no good ending.

Merry Christmas everybody. Hope you all have a lovely holiday and new year. It''s been about 7 weeks the last video. So here's a timeline on what I've been doing.
- WEEK 1: I felt it necessary to do a pre-production week. As I've done a pretty bad job of keeping track of the various streams I use in the edits. I pretty much had two whole hard-drives of useless footage. So I took some time clearing out the crap and properly nesting everything useful for future videos. I'm in a much better position for editing now. And my recording methodology has been improved.
- WEEK 2: I have many side-projects in progress that aren't related to bullshitteries. One of which is a Dungeons & Dragons cartoon thing. I took a week out to work on that. But that's still far from completion.
- WEEKS 3, 4, 5, & 6: Were spent editing this video here. And while not technically difficult keyframing-wise, it was complicated by it's unexpectedly duration. The total run-time is 20 minutes compared to the usual 10.
- WEEK 7: Quality assurance on this video here. Mainly fixing textual and audio whoopsies. This process normally takes 2-3 days. But again it was complicated by this videos length.
Anyway, hope you're all well. I'm going to take a couple of days to re-cooperate and then get cracking with the next project.

I love the difference in how the ending went between Soviet and Cy, and how it went for a friend and myself. Cy just ditched Soviet before he figured out what was going on. When me and my friend played, he went to the rest room as soon as he saw that we were both in the same room, and in that course of time, I saw the button and realized what it did. He got back and the gate was open, and I choose not to say anything as he walked out. I had to tell him afterwords that he was the only one that go to leave. I found it really funny to see the different type of resolution between different people.
