- I’m back with another MK5 GTI! Today I dig into my newest purchase which is a 2008 MK5 Golf GTI. I picked it up off Facebook marketplace with a supposed broken Camshaft Timing Chain (not to be confused with the Timing Belt on this engine) and I dig deep into how to check a newly purchased MK5!

First time viewer but id just like to let you know that you should lower the music a bit more because it feels like we hear it too much over your voice, other than that i like your shots of the car and everything else is good :)

Leak detected fault codes are usually due to vacum leaks, the pcv valve is common for leaking on the front and can cause the engine to run lumpy and over fuel, best thing to do is do a smoke leak aswell
You are definitely not wrong! I believe the reason for that fault was due to the snapped PCV hose which I quickly taped together. The car actually runs very smooth, just a very noisey chain which I suspect is due to the tensioner failing (super common) Vacuum wise it’s actually sounding pretty good, but more to come next video

Question regarding TVS gearbox tune. The clutch pressure can be adjusted using this software correct?
@@jarradmiller835 Hey mate! So yes the clutch pressures are adjusted within the tune and are setup to suit your ECU Tune accordingly!
