    i bought an ugly David Weekley home at crappy Meridiana Texas. I have huge buyer's remorse and couldn't sell this home so I just rented it out. At least the tenants will love it. 2 yrs and the garage side panel is peeling. The plants have all died. i don't recommend David Weekly. I would never buy lennar, DR Horton or maybe Brightland Homes.

      Sorry you haven’t had the best experience. I feel a lot more people are going to have these same problems in the near future.

    I am happy w a preowned home in an established neighborhood that has been settled for a long term.

      I grew up in Houston and am in central Tx now. I was In one of the original “master planned” community in Houston at the time. Clear Lake city in the 70’s.

    I wish they would over saturate here in arizona the houses here are starting cost 340 plus and the prices seem to be stuck.

    And if these homes don’t fare well after 5 years in middle America, imagine what the saltwater and extreme heat does to them in FL and TX. Stay away.

    Thank god for these entry level builders. When you put the average pay a month next to the average morgage a month and it makes no sence at all. Where the heck is everyone supposed to live? These entry level homes are all average folks can barely afford and many cant even afford it. Thank you for the video but people are broke out here.

      Never said they were bad. Just said they are going to be harder to resale when the time comes. Also gave tips on what to do so that you can resale in future.

      @@livinginhouston What I don't get is why is the target of this video only entry level homes? Builders are also making new construction luxury homes everywhere and the same problem which applies to entry level homes also applies to mid tier or luxury homes.

      @livinginhouston  Před měsícem +1

      @skylineagg I guess you could say target. Yes, there are a ton of mid to luxury home builders that are also building like crazy.
      However those builders more often than not build in multi-builder developments and in master planned communities which have proven to hold their value and appreciate at a faster rate.
      Entry level builders especially those that develop their own neighborhoods tend to not have the same appreciation rate nor do they prioritize long term amenities of the area or neighborhood. The primary focus for those builders is fast volume/production and affordability to the buyer. That doesn’t always translate to the best possible long term appreciation for the buyer.

    I.E. real estate agents can't compete against entry level builders.

      lol is that why these builders will give realtors 5-10k bonuses on top of commission and beg them to bring them a buyer? Bottom line: You get what you pay for. Realtor or no realtor, do what you want with the information.
