This fifty size heli has an O.S. 55 HZ Hyper nitro engine on a Hatori tuned muffler. The flybarless unit is a Spektrum AR7200BX Beast X. It's powered by a SGP Reactor X2 regulator set up for 6.8 volts and the receiver battery is a Pulse 2s, 7.4 volt, 5000 mah lipo. Servos are Align DS 615's on cyclic and a DS 655 for the tail. Head speed is controlled by a Throttle Jockey Pro governor...

My boss found 4 of these new in the box but they are flybar titan x50. 3 of them are 4855 belt version with motors and pipe. 1 of them is the 4856 torque tube version kit. 215 each and we're going tomorrow morning to pick them up we are going to 50/50 it. Me and him both are flybar junkies lol. Probably the best find we hit yet. Guy bought out a hobby shop years ago that went out of business and he's just now posting the stuff. He also has 5 x-cell whiplash 90s flybarless in the box for 500 a pop. 3 nitro 2 electric
Still have my raptor50 flybar from back then, and will never part with it. It was also my first nitro and has the thundertiger motor in it, but with new bearings by now. Runs like a champ every time.
I had wanted one of these since I got into RC Helis and then they went out of business. The Titan X50 was my favorite Nitro and I never even owned one. LOL! That's a beautiful canopy by the way.

I'm 100% helicopter & all electric these days. Nitro fuel has become a pain to find, plus the cost is too high. My reason for commenting is to suggest placing all of your helicopter videos in a play list so heli guys can find them. Make more helicopter videos!
That's a beautiful field too Sam! I wish the AccuRC Simulator team was out there this spring shooting that field for a new flying site. I figured Thunder Tiger went out because of the loads of new Helicopters available today. For so long there weren't many choices.

They stopped making them about 20 years ago, of course no hobby shop has parts. Most all raptor owners buy online. I buy old stashes, luckily I have lots but theres always something I dont have.
From searching the internet, the earliest reviews I could find are from 2011, so it's been out for eleven years or so... I think the flybar less version came out the next year. I'm pretty sure that's when I got mine.
Align's business model of great parts support works for me. It's why I will never own another Horizon Hobby heli. I'll be flying it and looking for parts long after they discontinue the model. I chased parts for this Titan X50 all over the internet, probably have enough spares to keep it flying for years. That's how I found out about their demise, I was looking for parts...

Hey Jess. Initial price was the biggest thing. Then the cost of repair parts. The bigger question is am I happy with the purchase? Yes. It's a better handling and a faster truck. Thing is, it's still not an Xmaxx tho. Maybe I'll get one someday...

It's my favorite heli in a nostalgic kind of way. It's the memories of the sound and smell of nitro for sure. And it flies so clean. Unlimited 3D, it can do it all. With that said, my 12s Goblin 570 and my 12s Align Trex 700E DFC are so bad a** that it's really hard to say this one or that one is my favorite heli... If that makes sense...
Is this heli at all parts compatible with the Raptor 50v2? Can i use my Raptor 50 motor in this heli? Can i use the X50 rotor assy in a V2? Thanks if you have any info on this.
Yes there is some crossover parts that fit on the Raptor 50 V2 and the Titan. I have a V2 with the Titan flybarless head, a BeastX fbl unit and the OS 55 engine and tuned pipe. Not being a complete heli nut, what are the pro/cons with/without flybars and do i need a flybarless unit and a Spektrum radio to fly this way? I still have my old Eclipse 7 radio nothing else. Basically i just want to upgrade my Raptor 50 V2 with metal parts like the rotor assembly, i'm not into 3D flying. Thanks.

I have TT R50 SE. TT Raptor series is good rc nitro HELI! Just too bad they discontinued produce it and parts are hard to get nowadays.

@@mybluebelly Gotcha. They made a flybar head for the Titan if you can find one. That would be a nice CNC upgrade without complicating things.
