  • My imagining of how GMB would finish and into an itv ident. Any comments appreciated as always! 😃

I like it. Think that at the end it maybe needs something more before it just cuts to the indent, like their copyright and production information and MMXV for the year. The only thing that I'm not keen on is the "itv news" logo at the bottom left maybe it could be got rid of completely or (like on GMB's first ever episode) feature the contact information. The scroller could do with lifting up off the bottom of the screen just a little bit and the text needs slowing down. I think that this is really coming along, would love to see a version which incorporates your titles mock with this mock and then you can put your lower thirds onto this one aswell. Liking it

I personally quite like the itv news logo, I think it solidifies the 'itv NEWS' brand and it gives GMB viewers some familiarisation, especially if they haven't seen the programme before. Thank you very much for your continued support and helpful advice. I have a few more GMB ideas and once they are up, I'll put it all together. I'm currently thinking about titles for itv NEWS and Breakfast

Im really liking these mocks though. Im looking foward to seeing your future mocks because these ones are getting great. When you say Breakfast im guessing you mean BBC Breakfast? Ill possibly send you a clip of a new breakfast show that ive been working on to see if youve got any improvement ideas if you want to send me your email and ill be able to send some stuff. Back to GMB, what do you think of the 2015 rebrand? Im not sure on having so much stuff and the full 8am 1/2 hour at the sofa and without the scroller after 8am. I like the new desk but would like them to bring Sean back to the desk with the sport news.

DannyBaby1512 I far prefer the show without Sean, he's a little like a spare part. I wish the show would get rid of the adverts and have one main sponsor. The rest of the money could be made up with product placement deals. I still think the show needs more news. The show also needs to run until at least 9, to keep up with BBC Breakfast. Removing the ticker after 8am shows that the last 30 minutes are basically just Lorraine. I like the updated theme tune as well. I just wish they'd use the third presenter more (Ranvir/ Kate). I do like the show though, it's very modern.
I've been developing a British version of the 'TODAY' show, including graphics and a SketchUp studio. That's my next project

Its ITV, the way they make money is from advertising, theres no chance of them removing adverts its just how commercial TV works. I agree that the show should be 6-9 and Lorraine 9-10 before going to This Morning and moving Jeremy Kyle to ITV2. The last half an hour is them going for the more relaxed style like Daybreak was which kind of defeats the point of changing to a more newsy GMB. The issue with it having more news is that its a breakfast show, people dont want to wake up to learn all about lots of different murders or the Jimmy Savile case. Its difficult to find the balance. I wish they would use the third person more. And maybe (like on TODAY) put the weather presenter on the desk. I feel like TODAY and CNN's New Day in America have that balance. I really enjoy the show. Ill be interested to see your TODAY mock. My project is named WakeUpUK and Ive set up logos, graphics, title sequences and need to do my SketchUp studio.

DannyBaby1512 Wow, funnily enough my idea before TODAY was a show called 'Wake Up Britain'. I designed the studio for that and developed it into the TODAY studio. I designed some stills in Photoshop as well. I don't really mind the depressing news in the morning, it's better to report that than dumb it down or do 'human interest' stories. My logo for 'Wake Up Britain' is an orange sun with Wake Up inside the circle and 'BRITAIN' half in and half out the sun

It's not bad, but my only gripe is the itv News logo. It should really line up with the logo and the clock.

I prefer it at the left; it means the ticker can go across the whole screen

Ok :-) And also, does this match up with any safe areas? Just curious. I'm a bit OCD about these kinda things :D
