@@ros3yred668 to be fair this house looks like a typical sims house (not an insult hear me out) when shes not doing a challenge her builds are amazing but i agree the first swatches in this build are meh but its not a bad build it just looks like a slightly better typical sims build. But normal kayla builds look amazing
Keep in mind that it's not that simple. It's been made pretty clear she doesn't have a very high self-esteem. For people who have a low self-esteem it's not as simple as being more confident. Cuz for them when they look at something they made all they can see is the things they don't like about it or where they think they messed up. And this sort of thing takes time to manage your self-esteem doesn't just grow overnight or after reading one comment telling her she needs to be confident.

In the Sims 3, I used to just build one huge box with a roof, and the only room separated with walls was the bathroom. And let's not even talk about the garden or the furniture.

I used to make a huge box and I never used wallpaper, flooring, windows or roves because I was lazy and and I also used the wall thingy that shows no walls at all so the windows and walls weren’t important to me lol. Also I hated anything that wasn’t like extremely modern, but now I am the complete opposite sooo... oop.

Uhh I feel that! When I started playing I didn't know there was a community online and also knew nothing about the game. So I spent like a year in empty Newcrest cause I didnt know you could travel the worlds or even build on other lots lol

This makes me think of the house on my Nan's street, most of the houses have brown pebbley brick, but one house that has been built up a lot has orange brick and lacks a roof on the new parts. It gets bigger everytime I walk past it. Like wow. But it's their house so🤷🏻♀️
Edit: Theres also a house a few streets away from hers like that, and it's very similar to the one I mentioned. It's so big...keep in mind this is in a place with terraced (connected houses in rows) and semi detached houses (two houses joined together) so it's weird to see a big house in areas

Honestly, getting a wide single bed (120 cm) was the best decision in my life. (I’m Swedish so it’s from Ikea of course)
I had a double bed from age 11 and up.
I had a single bed until the age of 28, jeez. I'm now in my own flat and have a King size and I'm never going back.

Lol I wish that the gurus who made the builds for each pack would record themselves building and their thought processes. That’d be so entertaining and interesting to see how they come up with their ideas, and maybe give us a better insight into their guidelines for builds!
The houses in this neighborhood legit remind me of taller versions of the houses in the neighborhood I grew up in. If I was building my childhood home I'd probably build it here.

Oh how I loved the generic Maxis generated houses when I first started playing the sims 4. I had no idea how to build a house so I’d just renovate the insides and just leave the generic exterior. 😌
honestly I really like this house. it's authentic. it's simple. it's decorated but not overly. it looks like a good starter home that would be comfy to play in. generic, but cute generic.

My cat, who lools very similar to snap, was the same way while i was working from home. Every time i got on zoom for a meeting he would jump up and walk in front of me and lay on my keyboard. I ended up having to set up his own camera so he could be on zoom 😅

I think the outside looks pretty nice. The living room looked imediatly better when she put in a plant, thats non negotiable. The house actually looks kinda nice, if I had the sims I might use it, though I’m only to the kitchen so that might change.
I wish that Kayla would stop criticizing herself and her builds! You are amazing and I love your builds and your channel so don’t criticize yourself because you’re great!
This is one of the most realistic builds I have seen for a genuine starter home from a sim youtuber lol. How many of us have moved out to have mismatched but functional wood furniture (maybe used from craigslist or gifted to us) and just okay looking bathroom tiles and paint in the house somewhat compliments the furniture you decorate with. Unless your house is mainly Ikea furnished, where everything goes together automatically.
When she said "I've definitely built worse in the Sims" the first thing I thought of is when she built herself, good times

Snap is adorable. She reminds me of our Abby, who lived to be 23 years old before she passed quietly in her sleep. She was loved and happy, and that's really all that matters.

Rules: In every room your do it has to have every couch,every light, every painting, etc. But you can’t just put everything down you have to make it look like a normal house just with a lot of couches, lights, paintings, etc. But you don’t have to use every swatch of the same couch, light, painting, etc. please see this.

I feel the same about almost every Strangerville house. There's one called "Plateau Palace" or something like that and seeing the interior design is the most horrifying thing I've ever seen.
