    it have never crossed my mind that our traditional music could be approached in a very decent way from a classical guitar player. I also admire your work on the interchangeable fretboard. as an engineer, i must say that this is nuts! I still have no idea how it works. good job, sir!

    • @FernandoPerezGuitar
      @FernandoPerezGuitar  Před 4 lety +1

      Wow! Thanks so much. Your appreciation words means a lot to me. I am glad you specially accepted traditional Bulgarian music played on a guitar. It means a lot coming from somebody from Bulgaria.
      About the interchangeable fretboard guitar... yes! it is quite nuts, but a very practical instrument.
      In my website you can watch the same instrument used for many different styles of music, there you can picture the wide scope of possibilities.
      :-)

      @@FernandoPerezGuitar I wanted to add to what my fellow Bulgarians said that I also love your work on the guitar. In addition, it's so rare for a Western musician to not over Easternize, if I can use such a word, our music. It's Eastern but we are musically still in Europe and few people even hear it, let alone play it well. Many succumb to go to Turkish, and even Arabic, sounds. Well done in this regard.

      @@huskytail Thanks so much Plamena. As usual it feels me with joy to hear the words of authentic Bulgarian people enjoying my humble arrangements of their music.
      And yes, I agree, it is important to understand that Bulgarians have their own identity which is very unique and wonderful as well as different from their neighbours Turkish and Arab people. As a matter of fact this was a big struggle for Bulgarians throughout their history. So after their success in getting it back it is well worth to do our best to preserve it. :-)

      I got the melody from a score for a wind instrument and from there I made the arrangement for the guitar myself.

      I am working on it. The main problem I am having is to get in touch with some of the Bulgarian composers to ask for permissions.
      So if you know anyone who could help me... I would appreciate it.
      In the meantime pass me your email in a private message and I can send you a little something from Krivo Plovdishko Horo.

      Fernando Perez PM sent. Maybe you could provide more info by PM about the arrangements and the people you'd like to contact for the authorizations. I'll see what I can do.

    First of all this is not Bulgarian oro, this is a very old tdaitional Macedonian and comes from the region of Kriva palanka and is called Krivopalanecka trojka. But as usual the Bulgarians copy and paste anything Macedonian, culture, languagae, history, religion, music and share the same shamlesly as their own!!! MAKE YOUR OWN!!!!!

    • @FernandoPerezGuitar

      That is a very sensitive subject to take sides. It happens in much folk much that neighbour countries share much. Also political borders are not the same as cultural borders. Eventually both sides always claim to be the original creators.
      Personally I learnt this piece from a master musician from Bulgaria. I was told it is a Bulgarian composition. However, I would not discuss with anybody if that is 100% like that, for the reason I mentioned earlier.
      Lastly, thanks so much for pointing this out. We should verify both sides for whatever part they have contributed to it. 🙂
