Karnataka had a lot to explore last week Ihave been From Mysore to Kukee - Dharmastahli - Sringeri ( Karekatte Forest) - Agumbe Sunset(All Hills) - Udipi - Gokarna - Manglore - Madikeri - Mysore. It was awesome journey I had and the roads on Hills particularly at Kukee and Karekatte forest. Thanks to Karnataka govt I never expected the roads will be in good condition. When we visited here in 2013 the last few kms up was a drive over huge concrete bloks...thr was no road...it was breath taking....it now looks the roads have widened nd s n good condition
You have made the video just as professional as it can be.. Really helpful to plan the trip. I am planning to go next month and want to know How is the road condition from Chikmagalur to Mullayanagiri? And is it advisable to drive own vehicle or rent a vehicle?
Thanks for the positive feedback. As far as road condition is concerned, from Chikkamagaluru to Seetalayyanagiri it should be easy drive but from there on till Mullayyanagiri its tricky stretch. Try to drive only if you are confident enough to drive on narrow steep upward hill road and if your vehicle has good ground clearance. That too monsoon will at peak during next month, and it will definitely add extra challenge for your drive. you can get a fair idea about roads and driving culture of tourists at chikkamagaluru from this video. czcams.com/video/mqhu8PSEd1o/video.html

Karnataka governments and tourism have done precious little to promote Karnataka’s gems in Western ghats and Coastal areas which deserve much more attention and tourist inflow than what they’re currently getting..

We actually wanted to cover entire area but the jeep guys yelling at everyone that cars won't go further. Since we were short of time didn't try. will definitely visit next time. Thanks for the feedback.
Nice video. The first record of coffee growing in India is following the introduction of coffee beans from Yemen by Baba Budan to the hills of Chikmagalur(Coorg, Southern India) in 1670. Since then coffee plantations have become established in the region, extending south to Kodagu.
True. It was Fakir Baba Budan, who bought 7 (seven) Coffee seeds from Yemen. It seems at that time, raw seeds were not allowed to be taken out of Yemen. Only fried ones were allowed. As they wouldn't sprout. Baba brought them, 7 seeds, in his closed fist !!! And as he was Fakir, he was not checked. Chickmagalur, is THE Place were Coffee First Landed in India !!!

Thanks for watching. Best time depends on the season. if the day is cloudy ypu can definitely visit at 1pm too. on normal days its best to visit early morning..🙂

When we visited here in 2013 the last few kms up was a drive over huge concrete bloks...thr was no road...it was breath taking....it now looks the roads have widened nd s n good condition

You have made the video just as professional as it can be.. Really helpful to plan the trip. I am planning to go next month and want to know How is the road condition from Chikmagalur to Mullayanagiri? And is it advisable to drive own vehicle or rent a vehicle?
Thanks for the positive feedback. As far as road condition is concerned, from Chikkamagaluru to Seetalayyanagiri it should be easy drive but from there on till Mullayyanagiri its tricky stretch. Try to drive only if you are confident enough to drive on narrow steep upward hill road and if your vehicle has good ground clearance. That too monsoon will at peak during next month, and it will definitely add extra challenge for your drive. you can get a fair idea about roads and driving culture of tourists at chikkamagaluru from this video.

I wonder why u didn't capture the beauty of the budangiri hills more...Oh and the hill view near the Manikyadhara falls is the best u will get and we were able to reach there by car...but loved ur video though.. :) kudos...
We actually wanted to cover entire area but the jeep guys yelling at everyone that cars won't go further. Since we were short of time didn't try. will definitely visit next time. Thanks for the feedback.

True. It was Fakir Baba Budan, who bought 7 (seven) Coffee seeds from Yemen. It seems at that time, raw seeds were not allowed to be taken out of Yemen. Only fried ones were allowed. As they wouldn't sprout. Baba brought them, 7 seeds, in his closed fist !!! And as he was Fakir, he was not checked. Chickmagalur, is THE Place were Coffee First Landed in India !!!
