I'm in tears 😢 because I've been in a situation where I loved someone who didn't love me back. It took me 7 years to get over him. In those 7 years I gained weight, aged and developed high blood pressure and anxiety. I hated myself so much. I felt like no one could ever love me. I'm over him but it will take a while to go back to my old self. The only thing that helped me heal is avoiding any contact with him. No calls, no texts, nothing. Every milestone I hit was reason to celebrate. I celebrated every day, week, month and year of not contacting him until I got to the point where I don't even think about him. It can happen Charlotte, please take heart.

A man mistreated me so much and l kept yearning to see him. When he showed up, it was just to verbally humiliate me. Love is not an item that you pick up and throw in the trash can. The heart takes a very long time to heal. I had serious depression for 3 years, but l forced myself to do other things until l began to realise l was surviving without him. There are hundreds of women like her who have been scammed out of thousands of dollars online dating where the scammers promise their victims to marry them but first borrow money multiple times but never chat on video call.
