People are definitely watching the new seasons with rose colored glasses. After binging a bit, I have watched Adam lose volume based challenges (pancakes, burritos, burgers) and spicey food challenges.
Also, to show you how dated the original series is starting to get, they talk about how habanero and ghost peppers are the top peppers. Now, with Carolina reaper and scorpion peppers in the mixture, it's a whole new ballgame.
A lot of people here have probably never had legit ghost peppers and reaper, because if you knew how hot just a dab of that stuff was, let alone slathering it on, people would be less critical after a loss. Casey is basically ingesting caustic/dangerous liquids, so give the guy a break.
With that said, yes he chews and screams with his mouth full of food. I am definitely not a fan of that, but if my mouth was full of ghost/reaper sauce, who the hell knows what I would be doing either.
Thank god you came out with this, here in the UK its seriously hard to get the raw peppers but the sauce itself is only ever used by trained chefs, I mean iv tried a half dot of the sauce (scorpion chilli) and iv got to say I couldn't eat anything other than ice cream for a week, lot alone sit down
I've never tried a Carolina reaper. But I've had less than a drop of ghost pepper extract, and yeah ill never do an insanely spicy challenge.
He always gets to the last 3-4 bites and then sits for 10 minutes

I really don't understand the hate for Casey. I mean I loved Adam more, but Casey is over here eating foods that made Adams spicy challenges look like child's play. And for that, I respect Casey

The capsaicin isn't in the seeds. It's on the flesh attached to the seeds.

This challenge scares me because not only is that burger MASSIVE, but it's also got so much capsaicin and it'll destroy your stomach lining. But what really makes it scare is that it looks *so damn GOOD*! The eyes say "Yes yes," but the stomach says, "No no."

people should just appreciate both adam and casey. i like adam’s sense of humor and how serious he was with quantity challenges. casey isn’t that great with large amounts of food but he’s pretty freaking great when it comes to spicy challenges. just seems like we can love and show respect for adam while also appreciating casey for who he is and what he can do

I'm pretty sure Casey has lost more challenges than anything. Dont matter what kind either lol. Size, heat, sweet, carbs, meat, veg etc... he's got great charisma and charm, hes kinda funny and speaks well. It's just a bummer kinda.

Also not how it works. It would be total amount of capsaicinoids divided by total amount of sauce to get a concentration. From there you can map to Scoville.

It's kinda sad ever since Casey got the job food has been winning since year one n day one, I'm from orange county n I can say the el diablo burger ain't easy but these past episodes not many wins have been happening n its starting to get old maybe they need a new guy or maybe Casey you just need to practice more n Don't talk or party with your mouth full
