In this video, I will show you how to beat Simon and Richter in Elite Smash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I'll show you what moves to respect (ledgetraps, edge guarding, camping, etc.) and what weaknesses to exploit (laggy moves, reflectors, recovery). This will help you on your journey to Elite Smash.

The Belmonts are literally the only character that I have to look up on how to beat. This style of play is my ultimate weakness.

Bro how did sakurai make them have an overhead projectile middle and under I love Sakurai but he sometimes put too little into some character and so much into others
The ledge guarding is my biggest problem here
These were very straight forward ideas.
It was like saying "How to avoid getting hit, dont get hit" lol
There wasn't much in the works of techniques or projectile angles or fast falling after certain projectiles at certain angles works better for reasons A and B. ext.
Keep up the practicing though.
We just become better and better at what we like and wish to do.
So you can only keep growing on doing these.

What an insufferable character
This is legitimately the ONLY character that gets on my nerves. When you finally break the Enigma Code on how to get in, they DTilt and leave like a slippery salmon, then set up camp on the other side. So F’ing frustrating
How about: how to beat cloud? I really can’t tell his weaknesses
Only cloud Nair is safe on shield if improperly spaced, if you run up and shield while he tries to wall you put with fair and bair and punish you should be able to win neutral more often

I play Richter and my brother plays Shiek. If he gimps me he has a high chance to win but he rarely chases off the ledge. He gets tilted when I set up Holy Water to side smash on the ledge as he recovers, he says it covers every get up option. I don't camp so that's not a tilting factor. He just doesn't know what to do against Holy Water on the ledge and I don't know what he could do either. The match up seems to be kill before you're killed but he won't press me on the ledge.

Hey @Richard S. R. characters with reflectors do very well against belmonts characters such as joker and my main Mewtwo are often good counterpicks

I’ve found it harder to DI out of than Ness’ Pk Fire. Sometimes it works to DI up and air dodge just as Simon/Richter F smashes.
HAHAH I JUST BEAT A SIMON ON ELITE SMASH AND HE HAD A LAG SWITCH AND USED IT WHENEVER I WAS OFF STAGE, HE RAGED QUIT AS SOON AS I BEAT HIM AND HE TEABAGGED ME WHEN HE TOOK MY STOCK BECAUSE OF THE LAG. Imagine being such a loser ahahah

As a Belmont main, another strength to respect in their play is the aerial wip attacks. So many players aren't used to how fast they can be and how far they reach. They also kill.
