Actually there's no new episode in this season. Only replays from season 1 and season 2, somehow its the best collection i've seen of spy vs spy Every episode was made in '95 and '96.
4:23 This was probably the best of them all. It was called Defection, I believe. Black must have planned to stage a termination between his crew, knowing that White was watching them. One elaborate plot to catch him off-guard at the very last second, and it worked perfectly.
I think the reason these are considered better then the 2010’s version was because these were far more clever and memorable. While the 2010’s version wasn’t bad, none of them stood out. The 90s version was pure gold.
White: Relies on heavy artillery and gadgets. Usually doesn't take things all too seriously. Black: Usually uses other methods of tricks and traps. Takes things more seriously and is a bit more street smart.
Yeah, I thought the whole short was weird too, because when you think about it, White didn’t defeat Black so much as he defeated an innocent monkey that had zero involvement prior
Their design was inspired by plague doctors. My Dad saw me working on my Halloween mask (black pleather plague dr) and said it reminded him of the Spies. We conversed about the comics (he didn't knows about the shorts) and I've decided to make a Spy mask next. *hiss-laugh*
Bit of a fun fact, since this seemingly mixs in shorts from Seasons 1 and 2, it's worth pointing out that the shorts in Season 1 were animated by Klasky Csupo (the same animation studio who made Rugrats, Aaaahh Real Monsters, Duckman, Wild Thornberrys, and animated the first three seasons of The Simpsons) while the shorts in Season 2 were animated by Rough Draft Studios (a very well known animation house, who animated Season 4 and onward (up to the late 2010s) of The Simpsons)
That theme is amazing. Wonder though why MAD never tried to animate the Spy vs Spy vs Spy segments. Just for some variety of our two fave spies coming out both losers
@@DanzigFan-vq3zf Gray Spy always won cause she was supposed to represent "neutrality". Though I would make her loose a few times to show that even neutrality doesn't always win, something that happens IRL. Also, never liked how she won all the time as well too.
@DangerousArmyGuy exactly. I personally think Gray Spy probably would have ruined the animated shorts. I may not be too fond of her at all due to her basically being an invincible antagonist (at least in my eyes), but no matter how many people would wish she'd lose for once on account of how much they hate her, I'd rather stay true to her concept of being immune to the slapstick horror both Black and White endure nonstop and gaining the upper hand over them every single time. Like how Prohias phased her out after a few years (though she was occasionally brought back by future writters after Prohias retired), I'd probably would just leave her out of the shorts.
The last one was probably the most brutal and unexpected as it actually took me years to figure out what happened black was playing a game of wrapping a string around his hands knowing that white would try the same thing by sticking his arms through the gate, so when black kicked them open, instead of white flying backward, the string kept him tied to the gates and as the reached further apart, the gates ripped white in half
As handsome as they are, their savage antics are pretty much the whole point of the franchise. I don't care about which one I should root for; I mean, what only really matters to me is how amusing I find their antics, no matter how savage they are. They really split my sides.
Nice upload dude! As a huge Spy vs Spy fan for years, i've scoured all through CZcams for more of the MAD TV SvS episodes, and some, like the Electric Spaghetti episode, I have not seen before. Thanks again for the upload. (:
This cartoon was really superior to the Roadrunner cartoons, because you don't always know who is going to win. Come to think of it, I thought I remember Wily Coyote making that trademark snickering laugh, but I could very well be misremembering (Mandela Effect?)

8:29 has to be one of my favourites of the whole franchise. White barely looks at him. It's like we caught him on a lunch break or something.
