i think my favourite thing about this is he just tells you the entire plan in the advert so you'd never even need to buy it in the first place
Yeah XD
@Nebby Scumbold the only thing I remembered was baked bean in low fat tomato sauce
That and he doesn't showcase the diet menu, he showcases the possibilities on cheat day
i guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account..?
I was stupid forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can give me.

I lost forty pounds in 6 days and gained two hundred pounds in one day and now I am a type one and two diabetic obese, emaciated hemophiliac . Thanks Butterfield diet!
beerasaurus you mean.....diabeetus
Hey what you do in the bathroom is between you and your living god
200 pounds in one day, that's bs
beerasaurus type one?!? You are an idiot
^ these two have terrible humour.
Every once in a while my brain will just dredge up "Hoisin Crispy Owl" and back to this video I come.
Along with bonbonbonbons 😬
Mine does it with the way the voiceover says "Quiches Lorraine!"
I feel strongly that ice cubes with artificial sweetener was legitimately an 80s diet food.
I've seen this video a hundred times over the past decade, but I still crack up at "bonbonbonbons!"
@flavoredwallpaper
Literally. Every time. 😂🤣😆
Oh, mercy.
yo are you my cousin?
It's "Hoisin Crispy Owl" that stops me breathing like clockwork

I like how he calls hummus " garlic pudding".
So that’s what “garlic pudding” is
Say what you want about this man's diet plan, his self-control is legendary.

Cleveland Brown the results have been increbidel
Just increbidle

I tried this diet but everyday turned into Saturday

it's 2021 and still everyday is sunday since last year

We need to talk about how he eats everything wearing a full suit and literally never leaves the office. Even the close ups of the food have computer monitors and phones in the background.
It's glorious. The details really flesh out the story.
Anyone with a fondness for clueless ego projects and schlock productions pretty much adores this skit.
No we don't
Okay, so: Topic 1.
He never Leaves the Office it Seems, but he gets a Ridiculous amount of Food. Does he have all these Cakes and Pizza's Ordered in, or does he Bake them at the Office?
So its been a year, you said 'lets talk' yet you haven't replied to anyones replies. Its almost as if you don't want to talk.
I can’t decide what’s funnier:
The fact he ends the advert asking you to call despite never giving you a phone number or the fact he actually shows you logging into the website only to find it doesn’t exist.
Increbidel!
Yes
When I was in Year 5 my maths teacher showed this to us 😂😂
I can't decide what's funnier, you stating the obvious or you stating the obvious.
My boomer mum pushed me to go for a job advertised in the newspaper. WEBSITE DIDN'T EXIST. "You've got to try harder" she says 😂😂 then "try later in the day"....
This show should have never been axed. It's comedy gold.
Hips gold as we say in Germany to chunky downlines
Too offensive, BBC wouldn't dare put out something like this today. It could be considered fat shaming!
it was too hit and miss unfortunately. there was some absolute gems in the show but then there was a lot of guff that fell flat too
What is it called?
@@Relyx But, compared to now, it feels like a cosy gem

My mum when she was alive pronounced it the exact same way. She was born in 1936 so she'd never heard the word said aloud prior to the 1980s. I suppose no one outside of Italy or America had heard of it in the uk before then, (yes some fancy middle class people in london probably had, middle aged working class people from out in the sticks was a different matter)

Back when I was in uni my friend Hannah and I would quote the 'treat day' list back and forth at each other alllll the time. Lost touch with her years ago, but I like to think every now and then wherever she is now, just like me, she'll occasionally just think "hoi sin crispy owl" and start smiling for no reason.
I can't count how many times I've seen this and quiches lorraine STILL gets me every time
"During dinner mints" is my favourite joke in this whole video
have to come back every couple of yrs to see this
Same sir. Same.
every time i watch this - and i watch it quite often - i laugh more and more.
its the little things. the way he says 'incredible' whilst not facing the camera, and then when he repeats the line actually says 'increbidle', and doesn't redo it.
there are more laughs in this sketch than in most half hour comedy shows.
Yes - the loving pastiche of schlocky no-budget Cormanesque 'one take' filming "That's a wrap, okay come on, we've got ten more scenes to shoot in the next hour, folks!"
I thought twas more like he turns to the other side and so the letters change , anyway I see you're twelve years older now , I hope you're doing well .
Hahaha, I didn't notice that. I had to watch twice and re-read what you said. Lol
Also sounds like he’s saying “increbibble” the second time 😂
Yeah I did a double take at "increbidle" 😂
The diet didn't work for me but I think that's because the water I had with my lunch wasn't quite room temperature. The genius of the plan is in the details it seems...

Still love this. I just want to draw your attention to hummus being given sobriquet "garlic pudding" 😅👌 genius
Anyone else reading all the comments in the butterfield voice, or just me? 😂

to this day I can’t call them bonbons. They will always be bonbonbonbons
The mispronunciation of 'incredible' the second time round is perfection.
He pretty much nailed the concept of intermittent fasting. The comedy is a pleasant bonus
Yeah. This is actually very similar to the 5-2 diet. Less emphasis on the during dinner mints though.
It’s not a comedy!
the funny thing is this is basically the 5:2 diet
Inverted and 1:6

The Peter Serafinowicz Show was so ahead of its time.
The whole menu is like a modern shitpost.
"But just look at me now.."

For me, I absolutely crease up at the dramatic music after he says “treat day” and there’s a shot of him walking towards the camera 😂😂😂😂
Man invented intermittent fasting before it was cool
i love how he spends 45 seconds explaining junk food
I shouldn’t find this funny but literally everything following “Saturday is treat day” absolutely sent me. ‘Bonbonbonbons’ and even the way he said ‘pizza’ 😂
Also how he made quiche loraine plural because he had two 🤣

RedLetterMedia asked me to watch this. It's like poetry, it rhymes. Brian Butterfield is the key to all of this.
And it goes even deeper. Brian Buttererfield is played by Peter Serafinowicz, who provided the voice of Darth Maul in Episode I.

I loved the "rest day" lol. There's a serious message here too: avoid super low cal diet approaches, as it may lead to binges/intense re-feeds. Plus super low cal diets lower your BMR (metabolic rate), helping you keep your fat. Regular exercise could have been parodied here too ;)
I cannot stop watching this video
If we look at the weekly calories, considering he doesn’t eat everything on the table, and the highly processed and calorie dense nature of the food, he could, if he ate exclusively for that day, and stopped when it became painful, take on 15-20 thousand calories, gaining around 4.5lbs if he doesn’t exercise at all, and is fully sedentary. He is in his late 50s, and seems to be at about the 325 mark in terms of weight, so we could say that his BMR is abt 3000 calories with minimal exercise, I.e walking from room to room. Burning approx 2950 6 days of the week would allow you to lose 5.05lbs a week. Taking away the weight gained on the single day, we can say that in the course of a week on the Brian Butterfield diet, Brian loses 0.45lbs, 1.8 in a month and just over 23lbs in a year (weeks and calendar months being independent of each other).
Of course, for a normal person, with a BMR of abt 2000 calories, and a TDEE of 2500, you would gain 0.3lb a week.
Bruh
yeah but it would be a binge-restrict eating disorder cycle
calorie counting is pure bs, your body ups your metabolism over time or turns it down based on how much you eat. And he'd never eat 20,000 calories unless he had a disorder. He would lose a ton of weight. But fasting that long you have to be careful what you eat when you do eat or you will drop dead. Basically little or no carbs. So this is pretty much a suicide diet as described since the other 6 days are basically fasting.
Lol I'm amazed at this comment you put the effort into carb counting and calculating how much weight he'd gain and lose lol
you know it's just a fatsuit right, he's not actually overweight
Did he just call hummus garlic pudding😂😂😂😂
Seen this so many times over the years, and I've only just realised he says "Increbidle" at 0:20
