Since I am so long in Germany now, almost over 40yrs. and I so much miss the Philippines, everything became my favorite. Even those I didn't much like before growing up. Also with fruits which are as well so scarce here in Germany. You find Food ingridiences and fruits only in special markets. If not, they don't taste as close to the Filipino fruits at all. My son when he came back from the vacations, spoiled by its many fruits in the Philippines, started spitting every fruit he ate out here in Germany out. He was then 5 yrs old. Even now , already 22 yrs old he hesitates eating exothic fruits here in Germany. As a fact he hates the Bananas and Mangos here in Germany. Sad that we have often to improvise the ingridients here in the part of were I am in Germany.😢 There is something funny about homesickness and food. Thanks for your vlog, it helps killing a bit the homesickness. God Bless Nelly. ❤
Thats what am cooking now here in Italy, which my mom teach me... A WHITE PORK ADOBO,... Timing lang... Mayroong patis, Tuyo at suka, pero hindi itim...
I miss the sisig at crossing by the Railroad track at the BBQ stand out there i miss eating that every time at Crossing Sisig they know how to make the best Sisig in town coz I know I live there a couple of blocks away from the BBQ railroads track at Crossing ❤❤❤plus dinogoan a blood stew whit rice puto or Panset all Together oh boy i want to go back home in Angeles City at Crossing BBQ stand my home town i miss the good old days❤❤❤🎉
In my family, we eat dinuguan with pork belly, or meat. My father was not fond of eating the "innards" so he would cook for us with meat. I've tasted it with the "innards" but find it too gamey. Some restaurants offer it with just meat and it tastes different and less what you would say "irony"
You got it perfectly. Filipinos (and Asians) respect our food, we don’t want to waste any. We respect the effort of the farmers who grew/raised the food and cooks who prepared it for us. When an animal is killed to provide sustenance for us, we don’t want it to be wasted. And by eating a very wide variety of food, there is less chance of denuding the environment.
I love dinuguan while it is thick in consistency. It is yummy. It is pig's blood and to think of it is just nasty and disgusting. But so good at the same time. Same thing with sisig! I love also the pig organ meat on a stick. Well I love Filipino food so much!
My daughter inlaw is an American filipina and my grandsons are half Filipino. I found i don't like dinuguan, dried fish, and balut. I tried balut and felt sick afterwards. Im sure it was partially psychosomatic.
Dinuguan? Blood stew? At least Filipinos cook it well unlike Westerners who prefer their steaks medium rare or partially cooked with red juices (blood) dripping..... l love spicy dinuguan cooked with chopped banana heart (puso ng saging) in coconut milk and a bit of sugar to taste....Kinilaw seafoods with thinly sliced radish (labanos) is another favorite of ,mine...
i love dinuguan! but not too much of internal organs now that am a little older for uric acid reason. lol... when you go to Spain, dinuguan is familiar or they say blood or black puddings or blood or black stew and some europian countries cook animal blood too and why not?
I Just a admire your face, seeing you happy and smile is all worth it. Sometime I just forget what's all about the vlog
Nelie pls go back in Philippines....we miss you
I don't know why nobody cooks dinuguan with green papaya or with kamias. Those taste really good and a bit healthier if ever.
