  • I’ve got some new SPL parts in from AlphaMotorsports. It should give the 350Z a really big handling upgrade.
    If you like more track focused 350Z content check out the rest of the playlist and the rest of the on track content on the channel.
    I have a couple other things on the go but I just don’t know what my main subscribers want to see short of “just finish the engine” which is beyond my control.
    If you have any ideas let me know below.
    Thanks!

    Pretty amazing you were that competitive on OEM rubber bushings! They must be completely beat by now.
    My 03 is completely urethane now, excepting the solid SPL compression rod bushing.

    I'd enjoy seeing more corvette stuff, you haven't driven it as hard as you have the Z yet so I think once that happens interest will rise. Also for some reason I haven't seen your videos in my feed (I do follow a ton of people) so I went ahead and clicked the bell so I wouldn't miss your next post

    The analytics on the Z06 will get better with time as you accrue Corvette based subscribers. It would be interesting to see how they compare at a larger track like MoSport

    • @2THPWR
      @2THPWR  Před 3 lety +1

      This is true. I may test the Civic at Mosport in 2 weeks. I will eventually run both at the same tracks and have some good comparisons. But, because the brakes on the Z06 are so weak and the tires are so old it’s still too too unsafe to put out there.

    I have full SPL on the front of my 370z, you will be amazed at how it changes the front end it will be tight and precise, it gets rid of a wobble you didn't know existed, it will shoot through corners more eagerly, forbthe rear all i have is voodoo13 camber arms, and Z1 subframe collars. The collars made a world of a difference. Especially becuase you don't have to drop the subframe and its a 15 min install

      Is there anything I missed I should have picked up? I have the front SPL A arms for camber adjustment.

      I know the whole front end includes SPL Front upper control arm. Lower control arm bushings, (front and rear), tie rod ends. Sway bar end links, and they have a titanium option for some of those things.

      @@2THPWR also I dont know if you have any bracing done but I do recommend getting some. I have a 4 point megan racing and a 6 point should function in the front and the the rear in have the megan megan bar that connects to the camber arms, keeping the chassis stiff allows you to the suspension to work better, I do plan on getting the fender reinforced.

    i have the SPL cmrear camber arms as well. Did 2000 km's on the Ring without problems 👌 as my diff bushing is leaking I might replace all the bushings of the powertrain we'll see how it behaves

    Yes more 350z content, would you ever consider a motor swap for the 350z in the future? There’s a company that’s doing a lot of R&D for the VK45-56-50 platform to swap into the G/Z chassis so if you’re looking for a V8 swap that’s unique and good for content I would definitely recommend that.

    • @2THPWR
      @2THPWR  Před 3 lety +1

      I kind of touch on that here. czcams.com/video/E2JDaOrq57A/video.html in the end the cost to benefit ratio is not really a good match for me.

    • @AntoineJra
      @AntoineJra Před 3 lety

      @@2THPWR I watched that video already and I completely understand. However, if your only goal is to be the fastest guy on the track in the most cost effective way possible then you’re definitely making the right choice, but if you’re trying to grow a CZcams channel coming from a viewer standpoint I’d recommend doing something that makes you stand out. Plenty of corvette/LS and VQ content on CZcams already so doing something different and unique will help you grow tremendously. That’s why I recommend the Nissan VK platform instead of LS. The main reason why I sub to your channel is because your DE isn’t like most DE builds. It’s unique and you record track use and explain things in detail unlike others. I myself have a G35 coupe with a DE and some bolt ons so I was curious to see how you made the power you made NA etc. So I guess what I’m trying to say is continue to be different and unique if you want to stand out and grow your channel. Just my 2 cents :) good luck

      @2THPWR  Před 3 lety +5

      @@AntoineJra yeah. It’s just that the swapped cars are all like you said clout builds. They are really slow and unreliable. Show me an LS swapped Z and it will get beat by my car for sure. I’ve never run into a fast swapped 350Z ever. They make dyno numbers and that’s about it.

    So the Z06 is a monster of a car. On top of it, yours has upgrades to include cams. In spite of it, the Z makes more power? It’s hard to believe. I mean I take your word for it, but it’s still so hard to believe.

    • @2THPWR
      @2THPWR  Před 3 lety

      The Z06 is straightline faster. The 350Z is faster over a lap of the track.

    Thoughts on GKtech Arms as a budget replacement, in lieu of SPL parts?

    • @2THPWR
      @2THPWR  Před 3 lety +1

      I’m not sure. Never heard of them. When something is cheap it’s usually for a reason. I’ve seen cheap arms fail and send cars to their doom.
