I have a friend that fishes tuna and marlin off an ocean kayak out of Newport, OR. Multiple times we've watched him being stalked by sharks as he paddles back under the bridge.
I live in Perth Australia and another swimmer was eaten by a great white in really shallow water close to shore. They searched for him for 4 days and found nothing. Only his goggles. A surfer witnessed the attack and called out to these teenagers in a dinghy to help. The kids got to half the swimmer but the shark was swimming between the boat and the swimmer to protect its meal. The eventually got close enough to try pull him up but the shark lunged again taking the other half under and eating it. After having visited the North Shore in Winter, surfers are by far the most impressive athletes imho. Those waves are brutal and sharks are hungry and we're over-fishing their food supply.
No, "we" aren't over fishing their food supply. The Chinese are over fishing their food supply. They have over 7500 (officially they claim 2500) fishing vessels compared to the USA's 350-400 vessels. The Chinese fleets can be seen from space at night bc they use powerful lights to draw fish to their nets. There are so many factory ships they can stay at sea for 2 years while smaller ships transport the catch to market. They've been devastating the waters off South America, Central America, the Philippines and places all over the Pacific.
I have two phobias.. Spiders (big one's) and Great Whites.. Just imagine being in the ocean, totally vulnerable with a decent swim back to shore and all of a sudden you dive under and see a humongous shark triangulating your position, It's one of those where I'd be so terrified I wouldn't want to move. I know the best thing to do is high tail it out of there, but I also feel like that would alert the shark more.. It's a sticky one, and a situation I hope I never get myself into.

The pingtrip hairless joepanzee had me rollin
Recently read about the deadliest shark attack on humans ever recorded, the sinking of the USS Indianapolis in World War two. There is a great book about what happened, called In Harm's Way by Doug Stanton.
Un-fucking-real what happened to these men. Very well written too. Check it out if you're interested and can stomach the gruesome story. I could not put the book down.
Thanks!
Appreciate that brother
Wait till you find out how many sharks are killed by people
UNREAL
Just watch Jaws and listen to Quint tell the story of the Indianapolis. Robert Shaw was so good in that movie.
@@michaelsilvey560 well that’s great! That’s just great!
THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN IN THE ROOM, IS THE ONE WHO SPEAKS THE TRUTH.. ARISTOTLE
Or the shark
You have a higher percentage of getting eaten by lightning than getting struck by a great white dwarf.
This is like watching the “Joe Rogan meets Roe
Jogan” video 😂
"Compassion for animals is intimately connected with goodness of character and it may be confidently asserted that he who is cruel to animals cannot be a good (hu)man." ~ Arthur Schopenhauer, German Philosopher
I suppose then, by his standards, only vegans may be considered "good." However, he suffers from philosopher's disease, thinking his mammal brain dictates moral law.
Not true cats are shit and so are some dogs
Still pissed that CZcams banned the Dr. Peter McCullough clips. Who else do they suspect is more qualified to talk about myocarditis than one of the most published practicing academic cardiologists in the world…

Does anyone watch the whole podcast on Spotify?
Brave of her, I'm afraid I would have been out of there asap.
My friends grandma got eaten whole and they only ever found the swim cap, my other friends brother got bitten in half and didn't make it, I'm from safrica tho
Holy fuck
Man, Ill never understand why people try to fuck with sharks. People have learned to leave lions alone. Why isn't it conditioned to stay away from sharks?
czcams.com/video/-WkCznfbNhw/video.html You guys didn't see this ..unbelievable
This most recent shark attack in Egypt is Wild af.
The shark was so big the man was able to pull through the gaps in the sharks teeth.
My worst fear is sharks lol I was off snorkeling in Montego Bay Jamaica when the Mf guides took off and left us there to go help another stranded boat. We tried swimming towards the boat maybe about 500 yards away, by the time I looked down it was nothing but deep blue ocean. The worst helpless feeling that I would have a shark swim up and bite us lol
Why are people so scared of sharks
@@stevend481 because it’s the fear of hopelessness combined with the idea of being eviscerated
You were probably safer in the deep water, scary as I know it was, most shark attacks happen in shallow water. They go there to feed because it's easier to chase prey.
If your worst fear is sharks why the heck are you snorkeling anywhere besides a swimming pool?
@@AnAmericanGirl4Sure conquer the inner bitch lmao 🤣 didn’t work tho so I might have to try again haha
Joe: it sucked him under
“It didn’t suck him under! It bit him with his jaw and took him under”
Sooo he sucked him under lol
Can’t we just all agree that it sucked
Yeah wtf. Why did he get so uptight about semantics? Joe literally just used a more casual way of saying exactly that haha. That part was just weird lol
Joe Rogan saying "oh Jesus" had me ROLLING
I felt Joe's "oh Jesus" moment at the core. Ugh. Fucking terrified of sharks.
