- We moved to Malaysia from New York City and we tried Malaysian food called Nasi Kandar. We looked on Google Maps and it led us to Nasi Kandar Pelita in Kuala Lumpur.
Nasi Kandar is a popular northern Malaysian dish from Penang, originally introduced by Tamil Muslim traders from India. The meal consists of steamed rice combined with an array of distinct curries, sides dishes, and gravies. Sheila had several vegetarian options on her plate, while I had chicken.
Planning to visit other Nasi Kandar restaurants. Please share your recommendations in the comments =)

At any Nasi Kandar place, you can tell them to half the portion of rice if it's too much. When the guy scoops the rice onto the plate tell them 'half' or 'setengah'.

@@Married2Travel mix rice with it sauces. Eat condiments such as chicken with rice. Rice will tone down any saltiness, spicyness and sweetness 😁✌️
