The Moonraker Mandela involving Dolly and her braces bothers me to no end. The entire point of the scene makes no sense unless she has braces, that was the catalyst of the attraction between a giant monster of a man and Dolly.
Yes i saw the movie in the theater,and she had braces ,decades later i bought Bond movies on Blu-Ray and rest you know,,,,
Yup, saw the movie as a kid & that's the thing I most remembered, that when she smiled back, metal shined as well. It just doesn't have the same effect without braces!
That one is to this day the one that messes with my mind the most.
Apparently the braves were removed at some point because it made her look too young... but whomever removed them did very considering the technical restrictions at the time. You'd think there would be artifacts left on the film or what not. That said, I'm no editor.
@@jackbuff_I They weren't removed, if that was the case it would be easy for anyone with a copy of the film to simply prove she originally had braces.
I am British, I grew up in the 80’s. At that time I remember Golden Wonder being a bigger brand of crisps than Walkers. Golden Wonder have their colours the other way round to Walkers. I think people are confusing the two.

I found you by accident. Until then, I thought that I was the only one who remembered Nelson Mandela dying in prison. I didn’t even know it was a thing. I was so stunned to find out that he was alive, and I never even told anyone. I just thought I must have had a really large memory glitch.
He did die in prison in my timeline, in 1981 or sometime around then, it came on the morning news as an interruption and I didn't even know who Nelson Mandela was. Then years later when they said Nelson Mandela was released from prison I was just like you, but now I know it's not a memory glitch, timelines have changed for people.

See I was born in 1980 and I remember very vividly my grandmother crying her eyes out when I was around 9 so around 1989 or 1990. It was on the news and the newspaper. She told me all about him and why he was in prison. I know I didn't dream it! I wonder how many timelines he died in.@@Ilurk247
Ooh and the cheese and onion / salt n vinegar thing hit me literally a couple of weeks ago...I’m in London, go into my local shop and without thinking automatically picked the blue packet cause I love salt n vinegar. I almost gagged when I opened the pack walking down the street and it was cheese and onion! I was soooo weirded out!
I was young, maybe 12.. I remember learning about Nelson Mandela and Ghandi and other leaders like them in school books and educational books in DR's offices... I remember Mandela was in prison and because of his age, would die in prison.. years later, I hear he was President in Africa.. That was pretty strange to hear.. From life in prison to president of Africa..
I had my own glitch this week. My mum messaged that my childhood friend is turning 50.....it doesn't match my memory. For context our parents were friends way before we were born and used to be neighbours. Shes older than me so ive known her my whole life. Growing up, we had family holidays together once a year, spent every Christmas at their house and usually we would also stay with each other over the summer holidays. It was the 80s and we would constantly write to one another in between. My parents didn't even have a landline until later so it was our only way to keep in touch and we wrote about everything. Now, my own sister is 7 years older than me and this friend has a sister the same age. Thats quite a big gap, so it was always nice having my friend closer to my age. Whenever i recall stories to people i say shes 2 or 3 years older than me and thats what i remember. Now shes 6 whole years older and closer to my sisters age, it makes no sense. Why would i not know the age of a close childhood friend who i spent more time with than anyone? We always watched films together, enjoyed doing similar things etc, if there was always such a big gap none of it makes sense to me

I figured she is from the UK given she said “mum” and “neighbours” but like I said, Americans who spell words like that are cringe. “Greetings” from south NJ btw.
@Willow_moon364 I have had a similar story!!! My pre-school friend was my age and she had an older brother who was 17. I mentioned him to my mum recently and she was adamant he was NOT that much older than my mate and I, she said he was 7 not 17. I would have sworn he was very tall, taller than my mum. I tried to rationalise it by saying a child’s memory can be wrong however my mum had the same car from before I was born until when I was 21, I know that car like the back on my hand and 3 people can fit at the back, 2 at the front well he always sat at the front of her car and my mum is very strict on following laws and our country doesn’t allow children under 10 sitting at the front of the car. There is no way on Earth my mum would have broken the law, and there definitely were 3 seats at the back. I cannot make sense of this, if I knew her surname I would message her because this has been puzzling me for years and years
The Mandela effect is something different than everyone thinks,
many people won't believe me, but this is the effect of changing the past,
people who time travel through their interactions have changed our future and to what extent no one really knows.
My theory is that it's AI retconning. An experiment to see how much they can change in digital media and records without people noticing. Also to get people to doubt themselves. Two birds, one stone. You don't have to invent time travel when all you need to do is change public opinion. I don't believe in time travel, but I do believe humanity has invented much scarier stuff that we shouldn't know about.
That said sometimes it just is public opinion or tradition that is wrong.

I have a Mandela Effect experience, with the Titanic movie.
I saw the movie many times already. There was this one time i watched it, and at the moment the ship was sinking and people falling in the water, a man would hit one of the propellers and get "cut in half".
But all the other times a see the movie it never happens.
Is there a version of the movie that this actualy happens? Please enlighten me!!!
@@alisonemanuelvilasboasteix7850 That scene is definitely in the movie. But he doesn't get cut in half. More like gets wacked into a super fast cartwheel in mid-air. until he hits the water. By the way it's portrayed, it definitely looks like he was still killed by what happened

I swear I remember Betsy Ross made the American flag. My grandfather owned a liquor store and bought whiskey decanters. One was a decanter of Betsy Ross sewing the American flag. I remember this vividly.
I'm 42. I lived on Walkers crisps as a child. Still eat them today. Walkers cheese and Onion have always been blue and salt and vinegar green. Golden Wonder are the other way around.
yeah I'm in my 20s and all my life Walkers has had green salt and vinegar and blue cheese and onion, I can understand why people may misremember it because here Walkers are the only ones that switch that colour scheme up for whatever reason.

The Walker's chips one must be because of the color schemes used here in the US. Here, it's often green for sour cream and onion, and blue for salt and vinegar.

The mix up is because of the fortunes of different companies. The biggest UK crisp brand used to be Golden Wonder; they have always had (and still have) blue for salt and vinegar, and green for cheese and onion.
Walkers crisps now have the market share, and their packets are reversely coloured.
But most people only think of the product, not the brand name.
I just realized you are the ONLY CZcams channel since TFS with DBZA who can keep uploading the same video for months on end and I'll keep watching the same old clips from older videos I've already seen twice lol
I do remember the Duracell pink bunny, in the early 1980s. However it went away and the Energizer bunny took over!

Crazy story, not sure if it fits. I bought a king sized quilt, wanted a super king but it was out of stock. I made the bed and the quilt did fit, but didn't look quite right, on the smaller side.
Washed it and put it away, took it out a few weeks ago for winter and then the strangeness...it looked almost too big.
I checked the label, still said king. Grabbed the tape measure and what do you know...super king measurements. If anything, it should have shrunk in the wash, not magically turned into a super king. So confused.
Yikes! That's downright spooky! But I'm mandela affected too. The worst was a court document changing!!! The document had a sum of $600 written in it (in context, too long and irrelevant). I then had to prepare a court case and mentioned in my statement this sum of $600 and that it was mentioned in said document. I knew what was written in the document. For some reason though I read it again... no mention of $600, or any sum of money for that matter!!!
I read it again. And again. I read it in both languages (the original was in Urdu, which I am not fluent in but can read as the alphabet is similar to Arabic, and the second part was the English translation). Nope - no mention of any sum of money, let alone $600!!!
Now, I had thought about how to present the case to the judge, and due to the nature of the case I had to mention the $600 in my statement. So I did. I tell you, I was so glad the judge never asked to see this document - how could I possibly have explained THAT... I would have lost all credibility!!!

Reality sometimes doesn't make sense. This year I opened a big greek yogurt with a rigid lid, as I often do, to take out some of the yogurt in a bowl right next to the yogurt pot. Seconds after doing that, and without having moved a bit, I reach for the rigid lid. Nowhere to be found, and was never found again. I ask my husband who was preparing something next to me, if he's seen the lid - and because it had disappeared he of course tried to find an explanation like "but wasn't delivered without it ? maybe you threw it by mistake ?". Checked thoroughly the garbage, no lid. And because the rigid lid is the only thing that prevents the yogurt's cover to be poked through, I would have told the delivery man that I didn't wanted a product with incomplete packaging next time, thank u. But none of the logical explanations that would have led to the rigid lid not being present ever happened. The damn thing disappeared into thin air next to me, and I'm eager to see the day where science will take these phenomenons seriously and start looking for a solid explanation.

Perhaps it is related to the way you dried, maybe hung it up and it stretched itself out. Did happen to me with a sweater which was a lil too small and after washing it was perfect!
OK, you saved the best for last. That James Bond Mandela effect just blows my mind. Mainly because I first watched that movie with my dad. I didn't understand why a cute, innocent looking gal would immediately befriend Jaws, a scary villain. My dad explained, "because they both have metal in their mouth," and fifth grade me suddenly got the joke. The scene doesn't even make sense now! Why smash-zoom onto Dolly's brace-less teeth? So bizarre.

What WAS the case, however, was that Smiths or Golden Wonder crisps had the blue for Salt and Vinegar and cheese and onion were green.
It's no mystery, people are just misremembering that Wlakers weren't always the moan crisp brand in the UK, and then finally then took the lead.

What's crazier about the Walker's Crisps controversy is that Walker's is owned by American chip company Frito-Lay. And, in the US counterparts (Lays) the salt and vinegar are in a blue bag, and a similar flavor to the UK cheese and onion, sour cream and onion, are in a green bag.
I was going to mention exactly this. My daughter loves the Salt & Vinegar chips. The bags of both brands look nearly identical too, aside from logos (and the color switch).

The Spiderman line has me completely baffled. I used to watch that movie on repeat with my siblings when we got it on dvd. And I know for a fact it was a man with a heavy New Yorker accent who said, "Careful, he's a hero." Like so no one dropped him. It just makes sense. Hearing that new line is just unsettling and so creepily placed in. Like wtf.

Ironically that story was written by Phillip K Dick specifically because he experienced his own Mandela Effect in the 70’s when he walked into his room and he found the light switch he’d always known moved across the room. He gave a speech about it, the man in the high castle is about a Mandela effect a rather horrific one at that.

As a 46yr old from the UK myself, I remember the Walker Crisps always being this way. I always thought it a gimmick to differentiate them between their competitors at Golden Wonder..

Moonraker was the first Bond movie I ever saw and I remember her with braces. Dolly not having braces doesn't fit right with that scene.

Thank you for covering Moonraker...I was a teenager when the film came out and I clearly remember Roger Moore was my favourite Bond (well he was the Bond of the day lol) and I also already had quite quirky taste. I thought Jaws was awesome and it used to always concern me that he never got to kiss (kissing was clearly my current obsession😂)...so imagine my delight when at the end of the film where you usually see Bond go off with the girl, that was shown then it panned to a sort of pod and Jaws was there, with his girl and she smiled and had a full grille just like his!! I CLEARLY remember the last shot as they turned towards each other to kiss and the space pod went hurtling out of vision. Now I’m so confused 🤷🏼♀️ and wonder if I just made it up?? 😅

It was an unforgettable part at the end of the movie that brought a chuckle from the audience when she smiled with a mouth full of metal braces that were popular at that time. It was the whole pretense for this scene, making it nonsensical without them. We know a lot less about our reality than we think, or want to believe.

My dad used to work for Duracel in Mexico, he would always bring us toys and marketing material from Duracel and it always included a bunny, he would also bring us a koala with a Duracel vest that you would pinch the back and it would open its arms and clamp onto something. This was my reality so i was SOO confused when out of nowhere the Duracel bunny didnt exist, and the Energizer bunny was everywhere. It was a complete 180 on what i knew. I would even asked my wife (one year younger than me) if she remembers the Duracel bunny but she looked at me like im crazy, this video is actually the first time I’ve heard someone else (other than my parents and brother) talk about the Duracel bunny. Nice to know im not crazy!
In my reality video phones existed in the 1990s but were expensive as hell. I remember commercials for video/picture phones from back then. But I can barely find any residue for it today.

My biggest one that has my entire family looking into this further was The Black Tom Explosion! Not a single person in my family was EVER taught about this in school growing up. Even til this very day, I can have Christmas or Thanksgiving meals with family who are much older than myself and I'm batting 100% on that ☝️ as well...
Not a single person within my family was ever taught this, nor even remembers a single story about this event! Thank you for covering it this past year b/c it is one that still blows my mind! I do wish one of my grandparents were still alive today just so I could ask one of them about this memory as well. The other one that most in my family cannot get over is Chik-Fil-A now being Chick-Fil-A. I've thought, maybe we all died somewhere between 2012 & 2018, & were all just living in what seems to be a longterm memory of our lives flashing through our minds. Kind've like the saying when you're about to die and many report "their lives flashing before their very eyes"; maybe we are all going through that right now and to us...time dilation is something many Human Brains cannot even comprehend being that it only exist in our minds anyway. Regardless, this is such an interesting phenomenon & whether or not it was CERN or something else, there is not a single person on this planet that could ever convince me that this is all just simply memory loss/forgetfulness that we are all experiencing 'real time'. Either our timelines are converging, someone time travelled, or something screwed up when they activated the particle hadron collider. My wife seems to think it was during the 2018 full Eclipse that went over the Eastern portion of the United States. She might be onto something there though! That song was definitely "I began to pray..."! I listened to this song many times years ago, and I always listened to the lyrics. Contrary to most songs, where one has to guess half the lyrics because the singers mumble, this song's lyrics are very clear! Also, "I pretend to pray" wouldn't make sense in the context!

I'm from America but live in SE Asia now. I found the Walkers crisp segment interesting, because in America Lays sour cream & onion come in a green bag, but here they come in a blue bag. Nacho cheese Dorito's come in a red bag in The States, but come in a yellow bag over here. Not a ME, probably just different marketing areas, but trips my brain every time I see it. Not saying that I am somewhat responsible for a ton of your views this year, but I will say that I sent a lot of your videos to my buddy who hosts a radio morning show (who loved your stuff) and he turned around the next day and did a spotlight on you and your glitch videos for 15 minutes on his show! Even played the audio of your voice from the videos on his show and showed some of it on Twitch I believe. I'm sure that a chunk of listeners across the region went then and checked out your vids. Must be at least a few thousand maybe.

P.S. -- I spent years as a child in catholic school, and we were always taught that there were Three Wisemen! Heck, I played one of the three in the Christmas pageant! And they called them The Three Wisemen.

That ancient Chinese flush toilet... yikes, that's shocking! I have studied quiet a bit about the history of bathrooms, and while there were water toilets around in ancient India during the Indus Valley Civilization, and sand toilets in Egypt, I have never heard about toilets existing at all in ancient China - let alone flush ones!!! I would have come across that in my studies about ancient bathrooms! Never came across anything about China! Now that foxes me because that's just CRAZY!
56 year old Brit, here. What I remember about the crisps/chips one is that when I was a kid there were a wider variety of crisp makers. And it was kinda an unwritten law that cheese and onion crisps always came in green packets and salt and vinegar in blue. But for reasons only known to themselves Walkers always did the opposite. I'm sure every person in the uk of a certain age will have made that mistake at some point. Walkers are a lot more dominant in the marketplace than they used to be and younger people will have grown up to be used to the colour/flavour pairing. But nevertheless, you do still see the green/onion pairing from other brands so this one is probably always going to cause confusion.
Spot on pal.. 42 years old brit here and i couldn't have put it better. I don't get many Mandela effects but the one that messes my head up is the star wars "luke, I am your father" being "no, I am your father".... i know that film backwards, as do many friends and family and it was NEVER "No..." never. Quite freaky really.

most of these don't get me, i don't remember a lot of the things other people talk about except nelson mandela himself- i do remember being a young kid, 6 or 7 and seeing nelson mandela's funeral procession on tv, and asking my mom what was going on and she told me it was for nelson mandela, he died in prison. it was 1992 maybe, and it was so memorable for me because i assumed that when any person died- their funeral would be on TV. i did not misremember this event, it absolutely happened.

The many drastic geographic mandela effects are way more stunning than products .. yet few channels ever mention them or even seem to notice? Look at South America, Cuba, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Washington State, Vancouver island, Los Angeles, Virginia Beach, Hudson Bay, Spain, Ethiopia, etcetera...The sizes, shapes and locations are not the same as they were, in my version of reality, prior to 2016 when I found myself in this parallel version

The Walkers Crisps one I can explain!! Before Walkers became a big thing in the UK (Walkers is the UK name of the internationals brand "Lays") our main brand was Golden Wonder. Golden Wonder used green for cheese & onion and light blue for salt & vinegar - in fact, Golden Wonder are still going strong and still use these colours to this day (and they're 100 times better than Walkers). Because Golden Wonder used to be such a mainstay of British culture, I think people are conflating Golden Wonder with Walkers when they think of the "colour change".
