It must be the season for cats to decide on whether they are going to stay at their current home or go move somewhere else. Next doors cat seems to be sizing up our place with a view to moving in, which is both nice and also inconvenient as we don’t have the necessary infrastructure to maintain feline life. And nor will we, Mrs Miller has been told in no uncertain terms not to feed or water this cat. It can come and visit but it must not get too comfy. I did think I might have some enforcement actions in relation to this but it seems the cat prefers me and so Mrs Miller’s interest in the animal is waning. She is now taking delight in the birds that have chosen to frequent our garden and take little twigs and stuff for their nests but if we’ve learned anything from Warner Brothers it’s that cats and birds are incompatible. There has already been some form of altercation between a cat and a pigeon out the front, feathers everywhere but no pieces of pigeon which makes me think it was just handbags. No idea which cat or pigeon, there’s a few of both round here but I’ll keep my eye out for any signs of aggro too close to the garden. I’m like Hale and Pace when they did those bouncers on their show, only better obviously. I’m impressed with your devil may care attitude to towing Auntie Sophie up those ramps, if you can do that then I am inspired to lean out of the upstairs windows waving a hook taped to a broom handle in the air in an attempt to keep the gutters clear. In other news, following an absence from the supermarket shelves around the time of Brexit, probably not a coincidence but I don’t know, black pepper Boursin is now available again. I’ve had quite a bit tonight so sleeping might be a challenge. I’d still be going but I’m out of Tuc biscuits and the shop is shut.
