    Really love crappie, perch, and walleye videos from the north. We have walleye and crappie here, but not near as big as y'all up there.

    When you catch a fish on the Jawjacker make sure you move the jacker away from the ice hole. If a fish splashes any water on the trigger it can freeze and cause you issues. Just a little tidbit of advice!

    I think if you look in the Canadian dictionary “jignminnow” is one word and reads “used, needed, or enjoyed constantly usually by many individuals. Produced regularly or in large quantities is a staple or must have in the ice fishing realm”. If you ain’t got a jignminnow you ain’t fishing. Gotta love my neighbors to the north!     Almost went through Saturday due to inconsistent ice! Had 8-9", went and tested other spots... I didn't hang around to see if that crack was going to be me going through. Went back to where I knew was ok. hope this cold sticks around for better ice!

    lol you're absolutely spot on about all the self filmers & editors. I do enjoy the self filming and editing part though but its super tough to put out consistent content weekly let alone multiple per week! Good video, I'll be putting out my ice fishing 2020 season vids starting next week now that hunting's over.

    Perch are probably my favourite Winter fish to catch and eat. In Summer it Walleye but there is just something about a Winter mess of Perch fry!! Just waiting for my new Frostbite medium light Meat Locker 2.0 and some new lures to play with!! Ice season in Northern Alberta is upon us!!

    I've never actually used live minnows before for ice fishing. Out West we can't use them. In British Columbia it is not even legal to use minnows for bait or fish parts. Quite restrictive. Good thing worms exist! You're pumping out the ice content this year. Good Job.

    I like the concept of those jaw jackers, but they can tend to set the hook too early. but on the other hand it doesn't allow them to gut it like normal tip ups.

    I am praying that we get Ice this year I live in upstate New York it usually is cold but last year it didn’t freeze the one year I got interested in ice fishing it didn’t freeze and this year it doesn’t look like it’s going to freeze either

      Sorry to hear that man. Luckily Jay keeps us entertained! I just moved to Minnesota and I’m eager to get out once the lakes freeze up! I lived in the UP of Michigan and never had to worry about the lakes, so I really hope they freeze for you!

      If you want advice, scoot on over to Uncut Angling.....this is Jay's channel.
      A second hole is obviously the way to go. There's also enough cable there to move the ducer halfway between holes and watch both.

      They absolutely ROCK!!!! If a 5 gallon bucket is part of your weekendly outdoor activities, you will TRULY appreciate them!!! If you use 5 gallon buckets on the regular, they are for you !!! I use mine almost every weekend! ! I have 4 of them and more and more of my buddies are getting them!!! They are the unsung hero's of the yeti line up!!!! They truly rock! Work AWESOME tying down to atv!! The outside tool thingy works great for putting pistols and mags in for shooting and it has drain holes in so when you dip bucket in water to put fish in bucket tool belt drains! Did I say these buckets are insane for the extreme outdoor person!

    Why do you hook the minnow near the tail? I've never seen that method and am curious of the benefit in action and guessing it stays alive longer.

    So In Canada waters you are allowed to use live bait? I give for walleyes in the Detroit River and we are not allowed to tip our jigs with live minnows. Is each body of water different in Canada?

    I'm not sure but I think I the jaw jacker is not allowed in canada might want to check your regulations.
